The notion that “IF YOU HAVE LOTS OF GOLD YOU PROLLY BOUGHT IT” is completely counter-intuitive anyway.
It’s more likely that players who blaze their way to Level 40 (or 60) are the ones buying gold, because they don’t have any. That’s the claim being made here: players who just quest/grind to level cap have less money because just completing quests and vendoring drops doesn’t generate money.
So when those players are broke and have a big purchase to make (fat mount, Dual Spec, epiccoolguy mount), they’re more likely to resort to RMT than picking themselves up by their digital bootstraps and working for their gold.
high time preference (in game) versus low time preference.
Yep, that’s the argument being made. If Blizzard overprices the highlighted features of the game, then it’s likely to lead to more RMT since folks can’t afford the feature.
50g is completely reasonable. you may not have it at lvl 40… we will all choose a mount… but, the amount of gold we spent in vanilla and classic constantly respecing between healer dps or tank and dps to aid our raid teams was insane. 100g there 100g here. to respec. we gonna see alot better groups being formed and guilds maintained in the long run because people can just respec in the dungeon and per boss that dont need 5 tanks or you can swap more healers in on the fly. i mean even if it was 300g i’d still respect that choice. cuz it’ll just save us all alot of time and money in the end. we got many many raids til Naxx again 50g is chump change.
i’m just tired of retail players bringing their crappy ideas to classic any enjoyment i get out of anniversary realms now is going to come from ganking lowbies. i don’t even want to do end game raiding anymore
If dual spec. MUST be in the fresh Anniversary realms it needs to only be able to be activated if you go to your trainer. I will say it again and again.
