I agree. If Activision flat out said. “This is the original and we are not changing it.”
People probably would not be asking for changes. We would already know nothing will ever change.
Activision messed up when they changed things. Its the not the players fault for wanting things. Its activision fault for making us think if we speak up it will change.
I would still play TBC and still am without the dual spec change.
Also every expansion gets worse and worse because they keep CHANGING things that are far from what the core of WoW once was. Its sad a company kills their own game.
Let me break it to u, there is no more classic… Cant u add? Ca$$$h shop changed it all, classic died right there… among other stuff.
Amen.
Well… Its a change alright, but what would u do? Does it seem fair to u, when ally have 1min Q’s and horde 30min-1hr? Maybe they should add a penalty to ally to equalize the Q’s and avg the wait time on both sides… Or fix it and do that fast.
Blizz must be slowest of the slow out there to fix anything … and hope that 2 more things dont get screwed in the mean time. Start with recent history, when in prepatch honor got screwed and now TBC is falling apart.
Blue post is almost non existent, thats, what I call shooting yourself in the foot. Its not helping.
Where is the fit? They would have to be nerfed, right? Or put them in totally OP? Sure, put another class in place, so we fix the tank issues. U dont ask for much here.
Now stop worrying about these and worry about leveling up instead. Btw hiding the profile doesn’t stop anyone from blocking you. It took a couple of extra seconds and that was about it.
Pet battles and LFG finder hurt no one. They are QoL changes that only benefit the player. Panda playable race hurt no one, QoL race that is only a benefit.
Releasing shadowlands content in TBCC hurts no one, QoL changes.
I would argue that it would even more properly resolve the issue if gear stats were made adaptive - no point having a Tank spec or class if your tanking set sucks. Let you main gear be adaptive and usable in all specs.
If we are going down the path of playing old content and fixing all the old school problems with it so that it plays like a modern MMO then lets go all the way! Why stop at a solution we already know won’t work - lets at least add the whole solution to the stated problem.
To resolve long queue times we need:
The retail talent model (dual spec isn’t enough as people will run pvp specs etc).
Add DKs WoTLK style - can Tank/DPS/PVP all in any spec.
Add LFD tool with tanking and healing badge rewards.
Add role adaptive stats on gear.
I don’t want this btw - but this is where the requests lead, because this is what WoW eventually needed in order to adequately “fix” the stated problem.
I happen to like specialisation. I like identifying with a niche role and committing to it. I like forming raids around those roles and friendships with people who choose to play them over the long haul. That all ties into my memories of TBC and these suggested “fixes” further dilute the game away from that model and toward the “everyone is everything whenever they want to be” model we have today.
Flexibility vs specialisation was the debate back then and it still is today.
