Dual spec has no down sides

Does way more good than less good.

WTF u saying? Makes no sense. Economy is just to dump stuff for price of Prismatic shards, 99% is for sharding.

No drama, MS>OS as always.

How else will players learn??? Want a snooze fest, do guild runs.

Right now its just a hassle, not for u since u dont ever respec. If u not gonna enjoy it, u can always do it the old way, get me there? Most will never respec anyway.

And they cant do it now? ROFL

Are u high?

Funny one as well. U dont PVP or u wouldn’t write this…

Gee, more gaming, thats bad for this game I guess.

if they want to implement it early because people still think “it will help with shortages” then it better be 1,000 gold like it was in wrath.

Downsides:

  • Another gold sink that allows people that buy gold an advantage over other fresh / casual players.
  • If not implemented properly you change the meta toward even more min maxing i.e swapping between specs for different encounters, as such guilds may require you to have 2 PvE specs to alternate between on the fly (which fundamentally destroys part of the reason dualspec was suggested for a lot of pvpers.)
  • discourages alt characters, if your main can perform more roles than normal, you will have less incentive to level alt characters to fill those voids. And low level content has already been thoroughly thrashed as it is, it’d be wise to not make it worse.

Idc if it gets added or not, but I un-ironically agree that I don’t really see an actual argument against it other than it not being true to TBC, which is enough for some people I guess. But I really don’t think it actually impacts the gameplay, feel, or experience in any significant way personally

I guess none of you remember when dual spec costed 1k gold before it was nerfed to 10g. If they bring it into TBC I demand the full original cost of 1k gold. As per patch 3.01, if they add it that is. 50g-150g a week is quite literally nothing if you even attempt to farm.

I feel like you don’t understand English.

On the economy bit:

You’re talking about shards? So what random boe blue world drops? I’m talking about primals and herbs and ore, things that people farm to sell for profit. If everyone has access to a farm spec then there would be more farmers which would increase supply which would drop demand this shifting the economy.

Ms over os bit

Youre missing the point with dual spec you have 2 main specs. Off specs currently require a respec which some people only do once a vlue moon, with dual spec everyone can switch at the drop of a hat making more people want offspec things.

Enjoying the game bit:
A lot of people enjoy pvp. Most classes can’t raid at high end level as a pvp spec, therefore those players need to respec for raid night and then respec again to pvp. Are you dense?

Raid comp adjustment bit:

There are 25 spots in a raid, sometimes guilds only have say 27 people, but if you need 6 healers for fight A but healer B isn’t on, you’d need dps C to go respec to healer for 1 fight then respec back for the rest. Hassle like you mentioned earlier.

More ppl will take pvp seriously

Yes of course if they can respec with a click of a button they will have a pve spec and a pvp spec. There are plenty of classes would benefit from that

Pvp solo queue bit

You must be dense, say you queue a wsg, you get 4 paladins. 1 is holy 3 are ret, no other healers. 2 of those ret could swap holy during preparation and now you have a viable comp. Instead of getting deleted by having 1 healer.

And your last bit, I said good, reason to game, you just didn’t comprehend that statement at all.

1k is nothing in tbc

Neither is 50-150g a week but that’s why this compliant for dual spec exists.

Sure, you could say ease or QoL but let’s be honest about what is truly being asked here.

You can respec in a dungeon when you lost a healer or tank. You cant farm outdoor if you need respec. This is totally not comparable

If duelspec exist, people will spend 5k on it over epic flying

Normally yes, that would be a counter point. However, arguments that ignore socialization aspects and true design appeals of a living system. In this case a living system of player input with plenty of active forum posts detailing the most common compliant being respec costs for dual spec.

It’s not invalidated just yet.

Almost.

people will spend 5k on it over epic flying

Ya maybe people that play the game regularly, you see that’s not a realistic implementation for the player base. Even though I would accept dual spec at 5k.

They’ll get dual spec and immediately start complaining when they need two PvE spec but have to change one of those spec (50G) to make their PvP spec as well. They will be campaigning for the retail version then. This won’t end.

and the selfie camera!

There’s no downside to not granting me an extra 300% passive threat modifier. It hurts no one.

Also, it hurts no one to increase the arcane tome drop rate from eclipsion mobs to 100%. This hurts no one.

adding death knights DEFINITELY does more good than bad. so let’s do it!

that means you aren’t very smart, no offense :expressionless:

Comming from the person who dosent know how to NOT spend all their gold on the AH, you say slot of dum things. Jesus. Christ.

we have learned how to counter these dual spec babies. just use all their inane arguments to ask for any ridiculous change we can think of. and they are stumped about how to respond
