I’m kinda crushing hardcore on them these days, how about we get some playable ones? 
Magic dps/heals, with a good splash of boomkin and fauna and flora related skills, but maybe more support oriented, some nifty buffs that would be good for solo’ing, grouping and giving random strangers out of kindness as Dryads could easily be imagined doing. Maybe a dash of hunter’ish in there, befriending animals to somehow give them a hand?
Just a late-night brainfart, I should have headed to bed with the pup ages ago, but in my defence I got a husky pretending he’s a cat in my lap snoozing soundly, I don’t have the heart to move and wake him

I would love a Cenarion (dryads/keepers) race. Put them on Alliance with Centaur on Horde.

That was exactly what i was imagining too! 
I… don’t hate this idea. It’s certainly better than “new = neutral”. While it doesn’t solve the mechanical issues with a four legged player race, if any solution is created it could easily be applied to both, while keeping them visually distinct.
I think this has possibilities. Or would, if Blizz was brave enough to try it.

nods Mylune is cute though, something between her and the next generation ones mayhaps, with Cenarion as the model for the males, while horde could be the centaurs from the ohn’ahran plains, they’re so gorgeous.
Just realized using flightpaths might be an issue though Maybe they could just lie on the ride?

What would their racials be? What classes would they have access to?

They could just be their own mounts. Likely some nature magic, or just call some fae darters to carry them along the flight path.

Maybe I worded it clumsily, I’m danish and I was sleeepdeprived but I do mean race. Think priest, rogue, paladin, hunter, druid, shaman, mage, maybe also monks and warrior?
Their racials would be the powerful buff(s) to be shared, maybe a skill for taming fauna or aligning themselves with one. Thinking the horde centaurs would maybe have a alignment with bakar/ohuna or a third, each could empower players and their groups, bakar melee’ish skills, ohuna, hunterish skills, and then something for magical enhancement and the dryads something of their alignment…
Nah, instead of solving the issue blizzard would just remove the feature.
You just can’t use flightpaths. Lol
While I would totally make a centaur warrior or hunter, I just don’t see Blizzard making a quadrupedal race playable. Too many mechanical issues with trying to make some spell/ability animations and mounts work with the model.
