Druids...What is the point of Sunfire?

Hey Druids…I was looking at Runes and one of them is Sunfire. Sunfire is a nice spell in retail as a separate spell from moonfire and especially when you talent it so it is an AOE DOT. If we could have that in classic, that would be awesome.

However, it doesnt do that. It REPLACES Moonfire…but in so doing basically does the exact same thing. So what the heck is the point? We are replacing a blue Dot with a yellow Dot.

WHAT IS THE POINT?

It doesn’t replace Moonfire. It’s a separate, cheaper, more powerful DoT, that’s also useable in cat/bear.
