How detrimental is this to 1-60 PvE/Dungeon content? Do people not want druid healers for dungeons because the group wouldn’t have a res? It’s been a while since i played vanilla I can’t really remember how much of a pain it was to deal with corpse running in dungeons.
I guess the second option would be to just tank the dungeons as apparently they are perfectly fine tanks outside of raids?
As I recall, priests were preferred for that reason, but not that many people played priests, so druids could still get groups.
Find someone who is insistent on being a Shadow Priest or a Retadin. Take them everywhere as DPS.
Healer with only a 30 min res or no healer. You will find groups.
Pally, priest …bring them for dps and you got your rez
If the group is overgeared and just farming those last pieces of dungeon gear…then no one will care.
if vanilla was anything to go by, there were always tonne of pally/shams looking to tag along as dps
Don’t worry about it. I think there are going to be a large number of people who, very quickly, realize you can’t place current-game expectations on Classic.
You’ll take whatever healer is available. If that’s a druid, its a druid.
Simple.
Grab a shaman/paladin or a priest dps and you’re gold. Most people making a big deal out of it are overreacting.
People really aren’t picky when it comes to healers. You’ll see druids getting in 5-mans fine.

all in all the 30 minute res is not too detrimental as a druid in vanilla. Just have a friend whos a paladin/shamen or priest in the group. I could count on one hand the times where I was the only healer in a dungeon with no paladins/Priest. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Also, if you and your tank git gud then you won’t have to worry too much about keeping others alive.

It can be an issue, especially in zones like BRD where running back can be impossible.
But druids are incredibly strong healers, with good clutch healing ability and an almost bottomless mana pool (between high spirit, innervate, and down ranking). So you should be able to pick up a dps shaman/shadow priest or even carry a retadin without much issue.
Classic was all about CC. So if people were dying in 5 mans it was pretty common for it to be a wipe. Druid not having a normal rez could be an issue, but I can’t remember ever having that be a deciding factor in who to bring to a group.
But that was half the fun…hoping they WOULD work.
