I am enjoying the druid.
Awesome! Yeah I love playing my druid too.
Feral is pure awesomeness, good levelers too
Only thing I don’t like about them that deterred me from rolling one at the start of Classic is that you can’t see your gear/weapons most of the time in actual gameplay.
I always loved the concept of the Druid (& have a 60 one in Classic), but they are so lacking in Vanilla WoW, most especially if you prefer a non-feral spec Druid (with Balance spec being the saddest). Talent trees and/or gear itemization is just pretty horrible across all classes for the most part - but certain ones really take a hard shot to the privates.
Agreed. I’ve never regretted rolling a druid. I play for fun and they’re fun to play.
When it comes to the saddest from a class perspective, I think Feral bear gets the crap end of that stick.
Maul (The equivalent of Heroic Strike) and Swipe are our damaging abilities and outside of that is pretty much just Demo Roar and a few cool downs and Feral charge if you talent into it.
For Balance, you got Moonfire, Wrath, StarFire, Insect Swarm (If you talent into it), Hurricane (1 Min CD which honestly shouldn’t be) and unlike Bear, you actually can shift out without taking risk since you aren’t tanking and get access to the rest of the tool kit and it doesn’t clear your resources either while doing it.
Now when it comes to gearing, while they do get some tier gear which feral doesn’t at all, they still get the crap end of the stick from what I can tell and have major mana issues as well as getting enough hit chance.
Edit:
But love druids, the only class that really holds my attention, the rest I just get bored of after a bit.
Eh, 2.5 works fine for feral tbh.
am Here with 60 macro 1 button. Yes they are am feel good to be the same as i am in mop. Yes they made sure u didt need macro in mop but AM THE EXACT SAME AND I KILL KILL 90% OF THE PEOPLE OF MY SERVER .
Rogue are nothing before me
My druid also named Daswings has her full bis gear as a druid tank. I’m having alot of fun still, can’t wait for Naxx.
If you’re killing people as feral in feral gear then you’re fighting literal potatoes.
Short of being Pom-pyro 1 shot, you can dumpster a mage regardless of whether your wearing feral PvE gear or not. In fact, it’s likely better b/c you’re not going to need the shifts or heals if you 2 shot.
Also, they only big difference between a PvP/PvE set is making Intellect a secondary priority rather than not a real priority at all. So, not 100% what you mean by feral gear.
I mean feral is 100% a trash can pvp spec and the ONLY thing you’re killing is mages and you’re only killing the good ones if you’re an actual pvp’r.
You can probably kill the potato hunters we see running around though.
HOTW full int/stam is NOT Feral which i think is confusing people in here.
FYI there is a discoord for Druids in classic where multi R1 pvp’rs discuss builds, gear and matchups if you need some help with pvp… If you think feral is a good pvp spec you might wanna hit that discoord up.
Yes they are, sadly there are a trillion sweats who insist on running 20+ warriors in raid groups and only 1 druid is allowed in 90% of raids.
So, I play a full feral PvE build on this alt.
I’m not arguing that it’s a great PvP spec on par with rogue or mage overall, but to say it’s a trash-can build is an exaggeration on par with using non-viable as a synonym of sub-optimal.
So, feral does have a favorable match-up vs. mage–you negate there big defensive while refilling your resource bar.
Feral has fair match-up vs. rogue/warrior/hunter, particularly with a opener and with the condition that you have the time to play a game of attrition in bear.
It does struggle especially hard with classes you can’t burst down and that can get around bear mitigation, like shaman/spriest/lock, but thankfully most people have rolled the previously mentioned specs.
Nobody is going to tell you that it brings anything offensively to a team fight in a BG over another class, but as far as open world PvP and small scale encounters where you can play attrition and reset all you want, it’s more than fair.
A full stam/int priority gear set is fine if you’re fighting in a staged encounter with all CDs where you know the match-up, but if you’re just playing feral open world or going for ganks in BG I wouldn’t.
My point is that there is some nuance. I’m skeptical of your argument: “R1’s (who?) say feral is bad (why?), and if you’re killing anyone they’re bad.” None of that can be quantified in anyway.
Feral does pretty well against rogues…
not geared rogues… Feral doesn’t have the mana to do well against anything outside of mages.
Imagine losing to a feral as rogue in classic… Yikes

That’s a mitigation set not a full stam/int set. If he is HoTW it doesn’t matter b/c he never used insect swarm, in fact I doubt he is b/c insect swarm never followed his moonfire.
I don’t know how Pshero is regarded exactly, but he is surely not a “bad” rogue.
gj showing a single kill by a druid when you don’t know the circumstances.
Druids are bad in pvp in classic this is widely known.
A R1 druid is going to dunk on anyone no matter the class if they arent very good…
Watch the rest of Psheros vids he even has a list by ranks how he thinks classes are and druids are at the bottom. He also doesn’t lose to druids very often but its classic and RNG happens crazy like that some times.
EDIT. Watched video he made a bunch of mistakes so yea if you play like a potato like that then you’re going to lose.
Thats also a duel in a tourny where they had incredibly stupid rules on certain items and talent specs my guy.
So your argument in this specific situation would be more geared to ferals in TBC where arena things matter because that is the setting they’re trying to recreate.
Feral is okay in TBC with a rogue in 2s they get a little stronger with maim but still pretty bad overall.
What are the mistakes Pshero made?
How do the rules of the tourney favor feral druid?
Edit :I’m rewatching the video now. All i’m seeing is Pshero not correctly judgeing distance to prevent feral charge. That’s very very hard, b/c the druid is traveling 7-15% faster depending on whether their opponent has a boot enchant.
On the druid side, i’ve seen the feral get caught out of bear in a stun and miss grenades.
Only rules that seem to disadvantage rogue are use of pet trinkets like arcanite dragonling/battle chicken. Those along with peasant caller are not uncommon in PvP.
It seems like you’re actively avoiding making any kind of a substantive argument. Don’t reply to me if you’re just going to call me bad, say that pshero is bad, that the tourney was rigged, that RNG was on the ferals side with out backing it up.
