why cant i have my swift flight form be normal and dragonflight for mounts? its annoying and took away a functionality i enjoyed. fine control for herbing and collecting things and if i ran out of gems or was falling the ability to go swift form and continue.

This is a question many are asking and there is no real answer from Blizzard. They are taking the route of “because I said so,” instead of actually explaining things to the customers.

Adding my voice to this. Ideally, I’d like to see each mount get a toggle (skyriding vs. standard flying) but Flight Form should ABSOLUTELY be a toggle or a glyph of some kind at the bare minimum.
My go to for all of DF was dragonride/skyride where I need to go on a long distance, and flight form for things a short distance away or for finer control at the end.
It’s been less than 24 hours. Stop throwing a fit. Continue to give reasonable feedback. Every feature not being perfect from day 1 isn’t blizzard saying “because I said so”
I’d love for individual mounts and flight form to have separate flight style toggle but I have no idea how difficult or even possible it is. This isn’t some attack on druids.
Flight is working as designed. It isn’t bugged. The flight toggle has been known about since before the beta. There has been no explanation why it is all for one type of flight at a time or why Steady Flight is still locked to max level. If Skyriding is truly superior than most people will use it anyway.
Plus why is it a toggle anyway and not Mount Equipment? They could have made Skyriding the default but allow us to harness our mounts with equipment to slow them down.
