In one of the interviews that one lead software engineer mentioned how they flirted with adding a rogue kick knock back as a rune or something to that extent and that they then changed their mind as knockbacks aren’t core to vanilla gameplay. I wouldn’t expect typhoon or any other sort of knockback to make it’s way into sod.

why not there is a ton of fun stuff in wow classic long-lasting poly, sap lasting forever, pally bubble plus hearth cheese, ect.

Yeah it’d be cool. I’m not really sure why knockbacks are seen as anathema to classic design.
Classic has so much broken stuff, knockbacks are positively mild by comparison. Especially when we’ll have things like warriors charge stunning you multiple times back to back, breaking roots all the while.
I agree that generally knockbacks were one of the least egregious things added to future versions of the game, but they do alter the game’s feel a little and I get why people don’t want them
I asked for Thunderstorm but replace the knockback with a stun.
They could do the same with Typhoon.
NO MORE LOSS OF CONTROL MECHANICS. Literally the most garbage mechanic ever added to the game.
aoe mind control rune but instead of enemy humanoids its only usable on allies in wsg
