Druid Tuning - April 10

I am fully onboard with them trying to stop Bearweaving and Flowerweaving. Even if you’re trying to do nochanges, you still have to play whack-a-mole with exploits and cheese, or they become the meta. And cheese being meta isn’t how things originally were, either. And it’s a clunky way to play, as well.

I can sort of get them trying to make a small compensation buff to ferals to offset the fixes, because it sucks for people who spent time on their Ferals learning that complex gimmick to get dumpstered on.

What I don’t like is them putting a change through without proper testing to make sure they tuned it right, then making a separate blanket change a week later with NO testing… that impacts things other than what they were trying to fix.

My problem isn’t “somechanges”. Some changes can be positive.

My problem is “some changes” by a company that’s so hollowed out by inept/corrupt management at the Activision level that they take the cheapest and laziest approach possible to ANY issue.

Activision is just coasting along collecting sub fees until the the Microsoft deal goes through. Unless that deal tanks, they won’t put anything more than the bare minimum of effort in.

Look at, phase 2? of TBC classic. Blizz decided to destroy ferals with energy changes. They ignored the outcry from players over the issue and it took an old dev. confirming that that was not an intended change for them to change their mind and revert it.

Can you specify what the threat change is? Does it make up for the entire 5% loss?

un-acceptable change for PVP

i actually have the best solution for the problem. Revert the naturalist to 10 % Make faerie fire proc omen of clarity a glyph. Currently ferals are running savage roar glyph in PvE which increases damage done with 3% (This would be the glyph you would replace for faerie fire omen of clarity proc) PvP will be unchanged and feral will be nerfed in dps in PvE slightly (3%)

Current early testing was showing 3% threat loss from pre omen buff I believe. Bears are more dead than they were.

Bear threat went from a 2.07x multiplier to 2.1x multiplier.

Basically a little under a 1.5% threat increase before you factor in the damage loss. Which means it’s still a net ~3% nerf to bear threat.

The people that balance WoW don’t even play it. How sad is that. They are just crap shoot guesstimating balance changes like this. How sad. I really genuinely feel like i should cancel sub. Not trying to sound like drama queen i just dunno what what to say to that kind of balancing

Random people in their garage do more testing and balance work with less bots. Understandable thought to have.

Did anyone ask to have bear nerfed? Did anyone ask for nerf to essential talents and conjecture about “probably” being a buff? No. No. No.

You’d think they’d at least bother to do the math to make the % damage loss get offset evenly by the % threat multiplier.

I’m guessing Blizzard’s had a bit of a talent drain as Activision wrings what profit they can out of 'em until Microsoft buys them for Candy Crush.

Please revert this change and find a way to fix your mistake that doesn’t nerf bears and that nerfs feral pvp as little as possible.

Blizzard police: We heard there’s a feral spec out there that people enjoy playing, how about we make it not that way.

Me: If i cant bearweave i might just go play some other game, raids were already boring now i have to spend 3hours pressing 3 buttons, no thanks.

Blizzard police: there you go we fixed something you never asked for, while ignoring all the stuff that has been broken. Let me log on my warrior and shieldwall with 2hander on Yass dude.

Not like anyone really cares but this also scuffs them for leveling in northrend.

Is PTR still a thing?

I love that out of all the classes you’re singleing out warriors as the most OP because they have one defensive cooldown :joy::joy::joy:

I mean, there’s a lot more of them in the top 100 pvp rankings than druids!

Thank the lord Feral nerfs. Much needed. Ty blizz.

Or for that matter what harm in going a little extra on the threat buff? Why worry about under tuning that.

I didn’t realise there was 100 people that still played PvP.

probably mostly alts.
