Early leveling Druid tanks, do you go Balance first for Omen of Clarity? Feral for Ferocity and increased bear threat? Or resto for Furor and improved Enrage ?
All 3 options seem like viable paths for early Bear tanking, but is one the better option? Any experienced Bears out there know? Thanks.
Improved enrage is meh from my experience with ferals, points are better spent elsewhere imo.
The big priority that I’ve noticed that you would want would be feral charge, once you have that get your 5/5 furor then go back to feral, once you get your lotp that’s when you go to balance to pick up the omen of clarity.
Obviously there are many ways to work out leveling as a feral tank but these are how I prioritize my talents.

Is omen really needed? ( I’ve only leveled as pure feral once and as pure balance once.) How good is omen?
It’s really good as it helps you get a free ability/spell off without costing anything for it and as a feral the points leading up to omen Natures Grasp>Improved Natures Grasp>Natural Weapons are very desirable also.
Out of curiosity if you didn’t spend talent points for Omen where would you use them instead?

If you’re primary tanking, furor isn’t really all that useful. Like, you *can* toss a regrowth on yourself and then go to bear at the start of the pulls, but that’s not going to make a huge difference, really. There’s no real reason you can’t just stay in bear and conserve your range the same as a warrior would.
Improved Enrage will just help you keep your rage pooled between fights so that’s good, but it’s also not critical.
Going into feral talents will help with mitigation and a bit of utility (someone mentioned feral change), but if your heals are handling you fine then you don’t reeeeeeally need to worry about it.
Omen is good because it will give you the freebie. I think it procs fairly often and so a free swipe or maul will actually make a big difference with holding threat, but it comes at the expense of other things. There’s some rage producing talents at close to the same tier as omen, but in the feral tree.
So I would say it boils down to this: Are your heals keeping you up no problem and you’re struggling with threat? Early omen can help, but feral threat talents can too. Your choice! However, if your healers are struggling, you might want to dip into feral earlier.
Omen’s nice but I always spec it after going all the way down feral first. I also go down resto tree before balance since rage/energy on shift is so valuable.
Take any talents that improve maul and your mobility and feral faerie fire asap for range pulls in bear to maintain rage. This will make you an effective tank and huge QOL improvement in the open world.

Usually for leveling I just went full feral and then into furor or resto talents. Or natural weapons usually. Edit: Personally the faster I get to heart of the wild and charge the better tbh.
That’s fair, though as mentioned earlier there are so many different ways to play Druid let alone lvl one up.

Yea No offense I appreciate all the knowledge.
I’ve just never used omen but if it works I would like to try it this time since I’ve already done full feral and full balance. So maybe ai’ll try omen this time
