Druid talents question

Can a druid spec deep into feral for the plus intellect from Heart of the Wild to heal? Trying to build a spec that would let me be feral and resto at the same time which would let me swap between gear sets.

Just for leveling or for endgame?

For both and even open world pvp. Kind of like a jack of all trades.

I’m pretty sure HoTW/NS build is popular in PvP for Druids but I’m not sure how that works out as a Tank/Healer in PvE.

I speced HOTW NS in classic after dinging 60. and did the dungeon content as tank or healer for the guild depending on what they needed. As well using that spec for some early wpvp. So yes, it’s possible.

If you’re going to PvP feral is NOT the way to go. You must go balance down to at least moonglow. The time you would spend in moonkin form would be so small that it’s best to go deeper into the resto tree. But it’s good against rogues cause of the armor being the same as fire bear form.

If you wanna actually go against the grain and feral PvP then NS is the way to go. But you will pretty much gimp any strengths you have in wpvp and bring yourself from being unkillable to “kite this dumb feral til he is oom from shifting 3 times.”

For PVE if you wanna tank there are 2 manditory points that give you more rage when you crit in the feral tree you wouldn’t touch if u wanna kitty DPS main spec and also furor in the resto tree is a quantity of life since you start rage starved a lot but it’s expensive point useage. The cat set up is extremely rigid with zero flexibility. Tanking is slightly more loose.

Heart of the wild is truly amazing for leveling. You can do every role in the game, but at end game you lose too much healing, and the whole reason to have you feral is buff the warriors with your crit buff you wouldn’t have unless u go 32 in feral. It’s doable tho, just not the best route.

Moral of this long explanation is Druids can be built how u like, but since they aren’t the best at anything in classic you really need to min max it instead of building sup optimally.

Druids preform in all roles about 40-60% as other specs your strength is open world pvp and your versatility to fill any role.

Yep, it’s generally the suggested build very early on, as it lets you easily tank for all dungeon groups and heal in raids.

Once you’re done needing dungeons, most Druids generally move to on of their other 3 healer builds. Moonglow, Deep Resto or RG/NG (Natures Grace)
