I just want to play a druid race that isn’t an elf, wolf furry, or big fat guy.
I’ll even take furry fat guy (panda) because at least it’s different than what we’ve had for over half a decade+.

Sorry after the barbershop changes in Shadowlands and new druid forms in Dragonflight, Druids are at the back of the line.
Paladins need more races first

I dare say Druids will be done last due to the amount of work involved with the assets.
It’s on the cards though.
Also, Horde has non elf, non Wolfy, non fat guy Druids ready and waiting

Troll / Z-Troll?
I’ve been patiently waiting for Nightborne druids since BFA. High Botanist Telarn and Star Augur Etraeus from Nighthold are prime examples of Balance and Resto. One turned himself into a tree-person and attacks you with various nature spells and deadly plant life, while the other throws literal stars at you while inside a shifting planetarium.
Moonkin form could use the same skeleton as the Zandalari moonkin, and take inspiration from the owls flying around Suramar design wise. Feral’s easy, just shapeshift into a Manasaber. And Guardian could easily be an arcane owlbear or a modified arcane variant of the primal bears from Dragonflight.

Zandalari are only Elf adjacent, but they do have the coolest Boomkin form.
Dwarf druid is something I would play as a 16 year druid main.
Trolls aren’t elves or furry.
No, they just have 2 cow furries and two trolls.
Not much better in my humble opinion.
I mean… they are elf ancestor so…
When it comes to personalisation and customization in an MMORPG: The more – the better! Bring on Druid Dracthyr, Pandaren, and all the rest!

earthen not being able to be druids was a huge missed opportunity, we have all these freysworn protecting their wolds and they are “shaman” when they could’ve very easily been druids

I’m still hoping for gnome druids. Hummingbird flight form, kitty cub travel form and dps form, pet Broot-like resto form, bear cub form

Has to chime in to talk about this part. Star Augur Etraeus is an Astromancer. He studies the stars and practices arcane magic. His abilities are in no way tied to Druidism. And Telarn is a botanist who lost his mind and used arcane magic to transform himself into a plant. Khadgar even joked about how nutso that was after we killed him. These guys were not at all Druidic.

Also the potential since the Nightborne is sustained on fruit infused from the Emerald Dream. Understood the horde already had a new druid with the Highmountain and needed limited class choice with Void elf which is likely why it never progressed anywhere. 
When it makes sense lore wise.
Hopefully Blizzard has ditched this ‘all races, all classes’ nonsense. All for some other races getting access to Druids, where it makes sense, but not all of them.

bruh, class lore in this game has been broken for longer than it has made sense.
“lore wise” is honestly such a poor excuse to gatekeep classes.

I think the easiest would be a bigger outbreak of the worgen attacks since it’s a druidic curse.

Race and class lore should be respected. What’s done can’t be undone (looking at you Lightforged, Draenei and Night Elf Warlocks) but Blizzard can prevent future damage by respecting it moving forward, and as we haven’t gotten more class/race additions since the warlock debacle (with the exception of Dracthyr getting the basic classes, which I supported), I’d say it’s a good sign they scrapped that disaster.
