Which of these classes with built in speed boosts would be best for world farming herbs and mining nodes?
Druid.
Druid, combination of travel form for outdoors stuff, cat stealth for getting cave stuff, and situational use of roots or hibernate was extremely useful for me back in the day.
Tauren Druid
if there are any end game plans balance and ele are both good druid has stealth and shaman doesnt.
I would also add Hunter to the list of good farmers. If there are mobs nearby, the pet can hold them while you mine/herb so you have less risk of someone else taking the node while you are in combat with something. Rogue can be decent along those lines as well with sap. Neither of these has great speed like Druid and Shaman but situationally they can be better.
Not that it doesn’t negate a 3 second mounting cast time, but I think I remember having to cancel form to pick a flower. Or maybe it auto-cancelled? I swear I had to press a button to cancel it first.
I mean, Druid’s the best out of all of them, like many have said. You have Travel Form, stealth for getting out of the way herbs, and if you’re Horde, you can pick herbs super fast.
Hunter and Shaman are pretty honorable mentions here as well, and picking Tauren only helps with herb farming.
Technically, Retribution Paladins can get a talent that increases their movement and mounted speed by 8%…but it’s not exactly a game changer.
