I want to choose a main to PvE AND PvP with without having to reroll. Which class is better at generally having more viable PvP comps? Any spec as I enjoy them all on these two classes.

I would choose Rogue, Mage, or Priest for a permanent choice
It PvP this is known as RMP or as we like to call it “THE ONLY VIABLE WAY TO SPEND YOUR TIME IN WOW”
Mage and warlocks are always insanely good in pve and pvp. Druid prob better than paladin, though, if you’re committed to those two choices.
Mage safest bet of all time.
Druid has 4 specs all good in both
druid is safer than paladin, all its specs always have decent comps and are often also buffed to outrageously op
we’re currently in the longest period of consecutive good ret seasons there has ever been. don’t expect it to hold in DF
edit: didn’t read for pve. balance druid is rarely awful in pve but feral and resto often are. still recommend orange class if you’re not picky about the role you take in raid or pvp

I can’t name a single class (that isn’t part of the unholy trinity, AKA RMP) that hasn’t had a bad PVE or PVP patch.
Druid, by virtue of having 4 specs, is less likely to be crushed out of any PVE and PVP meta, but you have no guarantees.
Ret historically is awful in PVP, people who play prot in pvp belong in aslyums, and Hpal routinely gets shafted, which basically locks them out of PVP. They are almost always good in PVE though, as holy or prot. Ret is pretty sketchy in PVE.
Druid usually has at least one good PVE spec, can’t wrong with a ranged dps spec at the very least. And rdruid is more often than not a great healer for some comp. And you always need pve healers.
Pretty sure he can’t decide, and that he thinks druid and paladin are the most fun.

Ive never played paladin but mess around with rdruid from time and time and its a really fun class with all the forms and healing style.
Druid is a much safer pick, and has more depth than paladin. You can completely change the way you play with all the different specs, and world content is a breeze in travel form.
The sad part is, nobody really knows what anything is going to feel like in DF. Im wanting to pick a main before then but i just have a sneaking suspicion that whatever i pick will feel weird with the talent revamp

P sure wrath was 4 seasons and there was never a “bad season” for ret
