Druid of the Claw by it’s very nature should lean heavily into the roots of how feral/guardian were once one tree. The hero talent Wild Power Surge is a fantastic talent to bring that theme to life; however, it falls short in practice.
The ursine/feline potential buff needs a couple things to make it work.
The fundamental problem with the ability is that it’s clunky. Its hard to justify jumping into bear/cat mid full DPS rotation (or tank rotation). The only way to make it worth it is if the tuning is very high. So alternatively, make it a single click button/ability. When you obtain the full stacks, your cat or bear form button will highlight and change to a new ability called “Wild Power”. When you click it, it instantly shape shifts you into bear/cat and you apply rip (for Guardian)/Mangle (for feral) and then transforms you back.
If bliz if feeling super spicy, don’t have it be a full shape shift. Using feral as an example- while building up stacks of ursine potential an outline of bear form forms around the druid and once reaching full stacks it is a full echo of bear form around you. This would allow for some more visual aspects to the ability hero talent overall.
Secondly, the damage of the ability needs to be tuned properly, but this buff should be occurring frequently to make it actually an engaging button to press.
Lastly, if this can’t be done or they want to retain the aspect of jumping into full bear/car form. Make it less clunky. Let ravage procs be used while in bearform. A terrible feeling as a feral is to use wild power Surge and a ravege proc happen mid use and now you’re wasting globals going back.
Special shout out to Ravage as a whole. Its way more satisfying to press than I anticipated. The audio for it is spot on. A cool visual flavor for it would be to add a bear animation coming out of your cat form when you press it and a cat animation coming out of bear form.
