With all the talk about class viability and 2 other classes getting a battle rez, druids are even more out of the loops. I think it would be a great idea to give druid a “death grip” move. Call it entangled grip/lashing grip/earthly pull. Something along those lines. Have the animation be vines coming from the ground and pulling a foe to the druid. It goes well with there class and instantly make us druids feel somewhat loved.

Sure. But let Vine Grip only pull mobs out of melee range in. Takes care of those pesky bowmen. 
what if we give Druids soul shape baseline?
because, unless its going to be available to everyone in DF (current content) it makes sense to be part of the Druid’s adaptive tool kit.
soul shape is a very versatile ability that can be useful in a number of situations.
Bear hug.
I prefer wild charge.
In bear, I rush to the entire group, swipe, and I’ve got aggro. With grip, you snatch one, and the rest of the pack runs to who ever AOEd or healed.
In feral, you pop up behind the target, still in stealth.
In travel, you can jump off a mountain and wild charge just before you hit the ground and keep running.
Boomie bounds backwards and resto bounds towards the friendly target.
It would be a rarely used ability for me, kinda like roots.
