Just hit 40 on my druid not too long ago and have been feral the whole way which is fun but sometimes I wouldn’t mind a change for a bit (I have gold to spare too)
I am just curious what everyone’s experience is leveling as balance? I know it’s not the most efficient but how bad is it actually?
Also as anyone tried leveling with the moonglow spec? (Hybrid between balance and resto)
Any help is much appreciated!
You pretty much need moonglow if you will be casting instead of feraling. Unfortunatley at level 40, yo are sort of required to have moonkin form for the armor.
A better bes twould to throw it all in feral and have a healer set of int and spirit gear.
That way you can tank, dps or heal whatever suits your fancey that day.
Talent points for a druid don’t mean much. You have every ability naturally, and specs only give you memes like moonkin form.
The exception being omen of clarity <3 OOC…
Prepare to be out of mana after every mob nearly. Also kill time is slower because you will be constantly interrupted. Feral is much better for leveling. Ps. Moon glow is required because nothing is better but it’s only about 7 MAna per 5 seconds
Try it out. Don’t take our word for it. Despite what anyone says you may just… have fun. Imagine that.
Just make sure you have plenty of water.

I like this advice!
I leveled feral, and really enjoyed it. I got burnt out at 60, however, and went back to pally.

Balance doesn’t have a problem with damage, rather it’s longevity. You will be drinking after 3-4 mobs but you are able to aoe them down using barkskin and hurricane + dots combo which is nice. There is also the possibility of going melee moonkin using omen of clarity procs for spellcasting/heals while meleeing the mob down and keeping up moonfire, as well as utilizing the increased armor amount (same as dire bear). Currently I can get up to 60.7% damage reduction in moonkin form while being able to dish out significant burst damage.
Feral is going to be the fastest and easiest leveling build, however, it does get very repetitive.
