Druid leveling help

So I decided to reroll a Druid, Started as a Warrior but I am not feeling it right now. Ill do that later when I have more money…

While leveling I would like to be able to heal dungeons but still solo. Is there a good build to do that will allow me to feral solo, but be effective healing wise in dungeons and groups?

Thanks

I wouldn’t recommend healing dungeons as a druid while leveling. You’re much more valuable as a tank especially since you’ll be feral already.

Get yourself a healer with a non-cooldown rez. You’ll need it.

You shouldn’t have any trouble healing 5 mans as feral under level 50 or so.

But like others have said you can tank just as well in 5 mans

Yeah the best part is fitting into the group. Keep a healing set and your general feral set on you at all times and you’re good to go.

Go feral, off tank heal, just be versatile… i have saved my group a few times already with a quick “second tank” bear form save ::

There’s a spec called the Heart of the Wilds spec. Start with Feral and go until 5/5 Heart of the Wild, then go Resto until Nature’s Swiftness.

I can’t post links, so not sure how to show it to you.

Tell that to me trading our healer mana pots mid boss fight last night, how’s that for versatility :stuck_out_tongue:

Errr , dunno why you told me that but way to go

First of all AWESOME! Welcome to the peaceful druid lifestyle. I also found the druid to be the perfect switch from the painful aspects of Warrior leveling. (mobility and no roots!)

In a word yes! Start in Feral tree get kitty speed (and bear charge) put two points in the resto tree for Furor. Go back into Feral till you get Faerie Fire (feral) and use that as your new opener to pull mobs all the way to 60. At this point you are lvl 32 and can enter STV (travel form) bee line into resto for the 15% mana regen then swing into the Bal tree to get 30% shapeshift. (lvl 53 at this time)

This hybrid spec lets you Tank, Heal, Bal cast, or Kitty DPS respectably with only limiting factor is your gear.

I always carry a Int/Spi set along with my Agil/Stam items. if you have equal amounts of int/agil/spi (heavy on int early on) you will be able to solo elites. Link to build is as follows:
(add this to Classic DB Talent Calculator to see where I put the points)
0ZxGMoZM (24) Feral
0ZxGMsMbzZM (32) Feral
0ZxGMsMbzZVss (43) Resto
0x00hZxGMsMbdZVss (53) Bal
0x00hZxGMsMbdZVnsoM Heal your way to 60

I don’t know much about Druids except they are awesome. Every time I group with one, those hard quest melt like butter. I would help if I could with info, but I just wanted to thank the Druid’s.

Best advice for a feral who wants to heal is to cast healing spells. Poof, you’re the healer. Stacking some int and spirit gear will make you a pro. You don’t even need to spend talent points.

Tanking is brutal right now. Folks really do not understand threat, so mobs are running everywhere. Having healed my way to 60 and 70, I can only imagine how a healer must feel these days

Good luck with your endeavors!

Heart of the wild is pretty powerful, especially if you are considering pvp, able to pve also.

Just level as Feral. Most of your ability to heal comes from the spells you’ve trained and the gear you’re wearing, not from your talents.

Just build up a set of healing gear for those times when you need to heal and you’ll be fine.

You can heal all pre level 60 dungeons without any points in resto. I have done it myself it is completely possible. For tanking make sure that you pick up the + threat talent in feral. With that you will be able to tank all dungeons

But it is necessary to have independent gear sets for the different roles. Make sure you have a healing set and one tanking set.

You can go down the feral build while leveling. Just save an intellect set that you can switch to for healing. Just be prepared to drink a good amount between pulls.
