What spec does more things than any other?
Probably paladin and monk,
Problem with pally is two handed vs 1h and shield…sort of limits switching between specs,
Monk I guess doesn’t have that issue
It does at the moment, at least between BM and WW. BM can’t DW and WW can’t use some of their abilities without DWing.
They are among the specs that are getting weapon options in Shadowlands though.

Ret pally, no question.
Hard to say. I only play Healer. My dps are mostly for Back Story cause I want to have a character with a certain look. Other than that I dont really play them
Balance Druid
Fire can be top ST and also top AoE. So that’s versatile I guess?
Utility wise druid and mage.
What makes a spec versatile? Off-healing? CC? AoE?
Guardian, because we stack versatility.
Resto druid or resto shaman

While my knowledge of every spec is incomplete, I would put my money on Resto Shaman. They’ve got good AoE heals, a low-cd ranged interrupt(!), an AoE stun, ghost wolf for mobility, multiple unique afk totems (notably tremor totem), spell purge, and Heroism/Bloodlust. They can also, sometimes, cast while moving. That’s a lot of flexibility.
If you’re talking about dungeon versatility it’s rogue by a long shot. Slightly less this season because of Awakened; but stuns, Vanish, Cloak, Tricks, and random stuff like lockpicking/gouge are amazing. They’re also quite tanky as far as dps goes, so they can take more punishment than something like a hunter or warrior.
A lot of people are saying Ret, but outside of WoG, it’s pretty run of the mill. There are far more places where you say “we have a rogue so we can do this cool thing” than when you have a ret.
This was my first thought. It’s pretty durable, has a taunt, and can offheal pretty well (with WoG). Druid specs get close with the affinities, but a ret paladin is tougher than a boomkin or resto druid with guardian affinity in bear; especially after the tank dies. Taunt with defensives is really handy in 5-man content; the DK dps specs can do this too, and self sustain, but can’t pop anything like WoG or LoH to save someone’s rear; to say nothing of BoP. Other classes that can taunt can’t self sustain well enough in a clutch situation.
I wanted it not to be this and thought about the other options, but no. It’s ret paladin.
if spec, probably ret. Powerful off heal, powerful absolute defensive utility spells for themselves or party, strong stun, great damage
I would say Balance Druid; DPS, stealth, off-tanking, off-healing, mobility, utility, and travel forms.

Monks also do the same, and paladins.
These 3 do healing, tanking and dpsing.
If you are talking at the same time, all 3 pf them it, a tpally tank, can literally heal somebody for hakf their health wit a single buttom press. Monk can heal good 2 while tanking and dps, and dpsing while healing
