I’m assuming that the changes to Kindred Spirits Lego is intended to be a flat 50 to each stats, not 50%,since they shifted from 5% to a flat amount for mastery. If so, the change makes a potentially good Lego meh now, was actually considering giving it a shot, now… no point.
Professions not only lost their combat perks after Mists, but most of them also stopped being foolproof moneymakers once maxed out.
My Inscription toon in SL makes money by herbing and selling those herbs, as the herbs sell more quickly and for more gold than any crafted goods would. I am tempted to delete Inscription and replace it with Enchanting if Inscription doesn’t improve in 9.1 or 9.2.
They are being applied at the barber now, so you won’t lose them. No need for them to exist when barber has them.
It would be nice if other classes got that treatment. Though I’d also love to see a lot more cosmetic options with glyphs.
NOOOOOOOO!!! not Free willy
They removed glyphs and replaced them with marks. Go to the ah. Buy the mark if whatever the glyph was and boom. You got the form you want
Now you go to miscellaneous in order to find the marks with the forms.
I know why they’re doing this change yes, the barber shop has all these options.
But uh please don’t remove Inscription, it can be so much more for player flavor and customization. PLEASE.
I was looking forward to the orca glyph. Damn.
I hope they’ll eventually add something new and unique to Inscription then.
Also the other profs. That’d be good.
they are at the barber shop now - it is just confusing to see the info on the tooltips
Glyphs are once of customisations, each time you remove a glyph you need to buy or make another to apply.
With the introduction of the barber shop they made a new item that is used to learn the druid alternate forms permanently instead of a per use basis.
Like these:
I miss Mists/WoD glyphs
Also it’s bizarre to me that ESO, LOTRO and FFXIV managed to make crafting systems that are constantly growing and useful while WoW turned it into a vestigial limb
In WoD you could craft some sweet armor that was upgradeable. It was during Legion that they knee-capped professions from being actually useful.
Misleading post is misleading.
You can already customize your druid to use these forms at the barbershop, so the glyphs are 100% redundant at this point. No use keeping them around if they’re 100% useless.
On that note we need an update to the poor old crusty cheetah form already.
Deer Form for life, but old school Druids (and RPers who don’t want to be associated with Malorne) are stuck with the Nintendo 64 cat.
Sad too since there is so much potential with inscription!
hopefully thats the intent. Removing more RPG aspects of this game is certainly going to make me perma-quit at this point. Theyre already pushing me out the door. lol.
Maybe its just moving the glyph modifications to the barber…hopefully.
I think the post isnt misleading.
It looks like at least some players, myself included, simply missed these changes. I didnt know this was how any of that worked now.
Informative for me in the end.
Great point but shhhhh…they cant change professions until I collect all the appearances from all of them!!!
