Hello!! I’m rolling a Druid as you can see because I’ve played one on retail since cata. I’m setup to play and execute a hybrid of kitty/Resto spec. I just need help with gear? What kind of gear should I be prioritizing and in what slots?

You want two sets of gear.
For Feral you want Strength/Agility/Stamina leather.
For Resto you want +healing/mp5/intellect leather/cloth. And yes cloth is open and fair game to roll on if you’re healing.
You don’t try to mix and match gear or “hybridize” it. Save that for niche-PvP situations.

Look at items in how they help the role you plan to use them for, not some “oh this will also help me heal better too!” while wearing it for Tanking.
Oh and download one of the many gear set/gear swap addons that save your sets so you can quickly swap on the fly between pulls as you need later on. For leveling, just keep with the Feral stuff and get yourself to 60.

The only gear that is truly hybird in regards to druids is the pvp set. And really only the purple set has enough in the way of stats but suffers in having not enough bonuses (+heal etc)

I think that you’ll have a better experience leveling if you spec deep into feral dps, then respec ns/hotw at 60. It’s much quicker killing mobs when you have all your cat form tools and you can still heal in dungeons into the late 40’s without any issues as long as you keep a spirit set on you.
An issue that can come from leveling as a hybrid spec is needing to learn all the spells you’ll need for both sides of the hybrid, leaving you broke for most of your leveling journey.
That’s just what I think though, have fun and play to shatter the stigma around druids!
