There are forms for all druid class expect restro… Why is this?

There used to be.
You can kinda still get it I think through the Resto incarnation talent(that still a thing?) and there is a treat form ability you can get in Moonglade.
As to why it got removed as a thing… Not sure.
Wish it were, and that there were several types…

Resto did have a tree form in TBC which I liked, was a bit slower but had a silly flavour to it.
I know they have a lot on their plate but I still hope for some Moonkin customization and maybe they could even add in more sorts of treant form customization, optional for Resto buds.

Treant form should go back to being required. Then when they add pandaren druids they will have an excuse to give them jade serpent form for resto.

Missed oppurtunity on Night Fae Covenant ability to Shapeshift into a stationary Tree of Life.

tree form used to be mandatory it increased your healing spells by 10% however during WOTLK alot of druids complained about it being mandatory cause they couldnt see their character model (which is stupid cause the entire point in playing a druid is shapeshifting) so blizz removed it in cata

We had treeform.
They took it out, or at least, made it unnecessary. Then gave us a new form as a 3 minute cooldown called Tree of Life.
Got the Treant for the form ablility from Lorelae Wintersong in moonglade. Boy, blizz sure does need to up date that model.

Oh hell yeah. Become a rooted ancient, depending on your specialization/form. Like overwatch’s Bastion hero. Pop a squat and pew pew till you gotta move. Horrible for PvP, but would be situationally hilarious for PvE.
I thought the afro druid form was legit as a CD but anything more than that is a hard pass to me because I don’t and didn’t want to run into the issue balance and feral have where my model never changes when i get new gear.
If druids all got unique racial and at least 1 new form every xpac i wouldn’t care but before legion druids got fire cat in cata literally the only update you got from the characters base model…

We have a treant form. It used to give bonus armor and empower our healing spells (while locking us out of damage spells and permanent slow, but also immune to polymorph).
It was scrapped for PvP reasons, I’m pretty sure. Druids were too tanky in PvP with the bonus armor and the slow didn’t matter if you could literally face tank a melee’s CDs
Go all out with it.
All new abilities.
Create Wisps: Spawns 5 wisps that latch onto random party/Raid members and heals them overtime. Maximum 15 out at once.
Falling leaves: passive: upon entering combat, and every 5seconds after your branches drop 5 leaves on the ground that your allies can pick up and use for a heal+move speed boost. Maximum 15 leaves on the ground.
Root consumption: 3min CD, absorbs all negative ground effects and converts them into AoE healing in a 25yd radius for 8seconds.
Woodland critters: passive: squirrels, birds, owls, and various critters spawn from you. Providing minor auras to allies that do different things.
Squirrel: 3% haste.
Bird: 5% movespeed.
Owl: 3% crit.
Etc etc etc.
Whomp: use your big @$$ tree arm to deal massive damage to anything in melee range. Max 8 targets. 1.25second stun. 25sec cd.
They shall fight in the shade: allies under the shadow of your bushy flourishing branches receive 3% less damage and gain 2% dodge.
Retain all your baseline abilities at 50% effectiveness.

Tree form put a big target on the resto druids in BGs as would any other form that stands out.
You can still transform into a tree for the looks but it doesn’t provide you any benefits outside of the visual change. There is a talent that you can take that will transform you into a big stalk of broccoli which does give you a buff but only for a short amount of time.
I don’t know why they made this change.
