Faerie Fire and you’re good.
We have a tank, and we just recruited a cat I believe. Haven’t looked at the logs for this week yet, though.

If you’re bringing a Cat just for LotP, it’s never going to be worth the DPS loss from not just bringing another Rogue or Warrior.
If your cat knows what a wolfshied helmet is, they should be doing decent middle of the road DPS.
If they don’t… they need to do a lot of research on quick shift macros.
Druids are capable of middle of the road DPS… but it ain’t exactly easy. The plus side is gear doesn’t have much to do with it, just player skill.
Wait, I think I’m about to feel pretty dumb.
By third best dps, do you mean third best melee? Or are they actually pulling ahead of mages/locks?
Ahead of mages and locks depending on the fights.
Example, Vaelstraz… Rogue, Warrior, cat druid / mages / warlocks / hunters…Paladin / boomkin

3rd best of all specs.
It’s worth considering that their potential is lower. The best Feral won’t do more DPS than the best Mage, for example.
I see (although vael’s generally a pretty poor choice of example, energy/rage is going to skew numbers with that buff)
Right. That is why it is a good example. Fights where casters are top DPS the feral will be last, movement fights where melee is top the feral will be mid pack ahead of the casters. Firemaw is another example where ferals should out DPS casters, whereas ragnaros the casters should always have the top 5.
i’ll add that a druids energy is only limited by mana.
Eh, I disagree. No other fight gives infinite resources like that. You end up with skewed numbers and insane scaling that just won’t be there on other fights.
I edited the last post to point out that a druids resources are only limited by mana, which makes them stronger than rogues not using cds and thistle tea in that regard.
Rogues do a lot of damage with raw white attacks though. That’s how Combat Swords works, so just attacking quickly with S&D up is all they really need.
Not disagreeing rogues do more damage, I am saying a druid can keep pace if they understand how to turn mana into cat damage.
Well yeah, that’s why TBC is better than vanilla. Also, had to comb through and mark some posts as spam, like the no changer ones. Tired of seeing that spam everywhere lol.
No they didn’t. They didn’t “fix” anything ever, really. At least not in the sense that everything is equally as good as everything else, but… hey… why should it be?
I disagree… Druids were waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy overtuned in TBC, especially at the beginning.
Moonkin raid tanks were a thing for lolz. Bears with 30kHP, 30% dodge, and 75% armor mitigation.
Resto druids the undisputed #1 Arena and group pvp healers and fantastic raid healers…
I could heal a heroic dungeon in moonkin spec using only lifebloom until the boss.
Trinkets activated by dot and hot ticks…… mean trinkets up 100% of the time.
Epic flightform anyone? and a trinket given to you with the completetion of the quest to make your epic flight faster than anyone else’s?
Not God mode? The only thing more overtuned were DK’s in wrath.
You must have other things to do besides say no changes over an over. Like playing the game you wanted no changes for,

Because typing “no changes” takes a lot of my time, right?
