Druid Forms Suddenly Unlocked at the Barber Shop — Bug or New Feature?

Hey everyone,

After today’s update, I noticed that my Druid suddenly has access to a bunch of new form appearances at the barber shop — including ones that were previously tied to specific achievements or challenges (like the Mage Tower forms).

I haven’t unlocked these appearances on this character before, so I’m wondering:

  • Is this a new feature or quality-of-life change that Blizzard introduced?
  • Is it tied to the current event?
  • Or is this possibly a temporary bug or unintended unlock that might get reverted?

I just want to confirm before I start customizing everything, in case it’s not meant to stay.

Thanks in advance for any clarification — and if anyone has seen an official statement or blue post about this, please share a link!

It’s a bug. No one is going to keep these that didn’t earn them.

But I still like my rendition of the Firefly theme!

It’s a bug.

We don’t know what they’re going to do about it, as there have been no blue posts as yet.

Wait and see. (and enjoy it while you have it for now.)

Part of me still hope they’ll say, “Well… we did tell them there weren’t enough Druid forms for their customization, so… screw it. Let 'em have it.”

I know they won’t. And it’s fine, I don’t care that much. But it might take some of the sting off of all the other hell going on with this game. lol

It’s not a huge deal for me, as my druids have the rune bear form from Emerald Dream, but it would be nice if they let it stay.

It’s most certainly a bug and 100% everyone who didn’t earn it is about to have the forms removed. Blizz have flags / data to see who earned it and who didn’t.

well they can’t take it away now. I’m literally a purple sparkle cat.

maybe they can give mage tower owners an extra skin that’s not available, but do I’m happy as a sparkle cat.

also, don’t post this too much plz kthx - and also don’t throw shade at others, because fighting will def have them revert it faster than my main with all the speed tertiaries on my gear :100:

They can remove your characters access to the form and revert your form customization to the default cat one. If blizz somehow couldn’t patch this they’d have to give everyone access to mage tower items which isn’t happening. Enjoy the form while it lasts because it’s going away.

I’m in the same situation. I unlocked the Mage Tower Druid appearances back when they were current but never got the achievement for 10 rated Battleground wins. Suddenly, the black bear form appeared, and I was completely surprised.

This is a separate situation as it gifted people the skins who never completed the MT for said forms to begin with.

i can see that too…but if they don’t take them away, I think there’s some solutions they can still implement for OG Mage Tower earners. like adding more unobtainable versions of these skins.

Guess we’ll see, as it is a unique situation.

One could argue that it was intentionally an added feature by blizzard - because the Retail Mage Tower Bear skin (fel themed) is locked behind the achievement still…so idk

This will never happen. They’ve got logs to see who unlocked the forms for the first time on their account today and will just revoke access to those players.

This isn’t unique as these things have happened before. We all know how this’ll go.

Yeah making your stance “no mage tower items get over it” just to give people a singular mage tower appearance doesn’t add up. Enjoy the sparkle cat as it goes away soon.

I had the first 3 tints of feral form, but now I have purple sparkle kitty.

I actually think it’s perfectly reasonable that the 10 rbg win form is now available for people who unlocked the base form during legion. Only because Blizzard made such a mess of PvP that winning rbgs is not realistic.

ew…i’m all for keeping things exclusive, but why you’re coming at me like that i don’t know.

I kind of hope they stay in the game, just to see you cry about it now. have fun with that.
