So maybe it’s just me - although I have a great big feely it isn’t because it’s harped on a lot- but druid forms outside of the mythic flight form, should be 100% drop rate. Nothing else, not the other loot everyone can get, just the druid stuff. I don’t mind grinding for gear, and to some extent rep for mounts and titles and stuff, but I do not think that the way the Emerald Dream is set up is conducive to playing a druid hunting for new forms.
Firstly - Emerald Dream - Druid Heaven. That’s enough said by itself.
Secondly - Not that it’s new, but people absolutely do not call out rares, and the repawn timers seem to be all over the place. Sat there waiting between Keevah and Moragh and it was about 3+ hours, I stopped looking at the clock when 3am delirium set in after having wasted my time camping from at least 12am because I didn’t know when it’d been killed so it could pop literally the moment I left.
Druid forms offer absolutely no benefit except helping us live our RPG fantasy. There’s no strategical advantage, no ilvl or stat advantage, and honestly no one wants to spend every day for maybe a month plus hunting down an owl form or whatever.
It isn’t fun or exciting gameplay and we’re pretty over it already. What’s the harm in either upping the spawn rate (And dropping the item drop chance perhaps to compensate on the gear), making the druid form spawns unlimitedly repeatable and not just daily/weekly for the world boss, or even just making them 100% form drop chance?

Probably because you can get almost all the forms without getting them from rares. Not meaning color variants. Besides that fish and rock bear mage tower form i guess. It’s also a small zone. Limiting it gets people back rather than letting them spend a whole day farming.

Agreed, could use some more of those as well. And while you’re right that you can get the FORMS, they also drop as basically form learning blocks for the color variants. Much like hunters and their nice looking pets, we druids are now suffering from a ‘gotta collect them all’ fever.
Where is this rare? I havent seen it on the map.

Yeah, the new roidbear rock form is locked behind the world boss. So once a week, and with how it’s probably competing with gear drop, you might see it, you might see loot, or as is my luck case - not see either for months.

My Worgen Druid wants that rune bear bad. As a Worgen fan, one thing that’s always annoyed me a bit is the limitations of the whole werewolf fantasy. Yeah we’re werewolves, but every class fights and moves like everyone else. The closest I can get is with an outlaw rogue or fury warrior with Wiley’s Backscratcher mogged on the weapons. Then there’s my Worgen druid. Right out of the gate they’re just reskinned versions of what there already was, when they could have given us a big hulking werewolf for the bear form, and maybe a wolf for the feral form. Then when they come up with the next best thing, that being the werebears, they stuck those forms in the Mage Tower and made it FOMO. And I’m not motivated enough to keep trying for the new version. So that new runebear is my next best bet to scratch that itch. I don’t care if I have to level up two or three more druids to increase my chances.
I didn’t mean to go on such a rant, but the whole forms thing is one part of this game that’s always annoyed me.

I’ve yet to see a world boss drop anything other than gold and heartburn for me this xpac. I’d love the hulky grass bear, but I’m just going to guess it’s not happening any time before next xpac. Rng form drops is a disgrace in itself, and my druid of the flame transmog/form finale is stuck behind a mythic raid kill that I’ll be farming for years after this xpac is over… pretty lame.

Although I’ll readily admit that most of the new forms look good, as they should being new models, I’m kind of glad that I’m zandalari and my forms are already super cool and unique.
I mean I’ll get them for my other druids maybe, but I just came off playing a KT druid and I wouldn’t change out of drust either. Night elf is kind of just iconic, so not really there either. Highmountain Tauren, well I really like having antlers on my forms so it’s no go there. I guess my worgen druid would probably use them, I always hated being a wolf that turns into non-wolf animals, particularly the cat it just seems like an affront being a catdog.
There’s a new bm one, 2 drustvar ones you can take and a fire owl.
Gottem all but owl cause that needs raid. Woulda liked a few more you had to track around.
Talking about less grind in here, but I woulda loved having to spend like an hour trying to find a hidden hunter pet. Those little footprints. I got the one twice just so i have 2 of the same as bm. They shoulda made the path for it much larger.
I think this would be wonderful, might even entice me to get my hunter out.
these drop rates are so toxic, i would love to slap the f outta whoever decided this

yeah it is peak bad game design lol, waiting hours for the druid form rare just to get no drop, like shouldn’t we be encouraged to play the game? not wait around and then feel salty at it?

I killed Moragh and Keevah 42 times across 4 druids. Still no marks from them. I lucked out on the other ones, but I still think they should either increase the drop rate, or decrease the spawn timers on the rares that drop the forms. How come Ristar has a reasonable respawn time (30 minutes max. in my experience) while ALL the other ones are respawning every 1-3 hours or something?
Ever since 10.2 came out my daily WoW “gameplay” is just being AFK at certain rares’ spawn locations, waiting for SilverDragon to go off. x4
At first I thought Talthonei wasn’t as bad, because I actually have to play the game to get her to spawn. But then sometimes I spent an hour straight just grinding mobs in the Fields of Reverie and she refused to spawn. Other times I joined a farm group, only to have 1 person (at best) get the form. I gave up on her after 22 attemps. I’ll come back to her once I got the other 2 marks.
My time is being so respected right now.

The KulTiran druid form hunter pets are pretty cool.
I got the cat and the bear.
I don’t mind a reasonable drop rate on the world boss, but man is it draining to wait around for rares for up to 2-3 hours a day just to not get a form to drop 8 times in a row. I just gave up on it.

Been camping the Druid Rares such as Mosa and Moragh since launch. Usually on 3 characters a day depending on how lucky I get with the spawn times.
The timers are long, and the drop rates are absolutely abysmal.
Honestly I don’t even feel excited to get the drop anymore, I just want it to be over

I’ve been farming them since they came out, although I haven’t started grinding the stag one as diligently yet, primarily just because she’s annoying to spawn and I want to get the other forms out of the way first.
I’ve been lucky in the fact I’ve gotten most of them, but I still need Mosa out of all the ‘normal’ rares, still need the runebear and the spawn stag. Figures that the one I want most out of all of them is one of my last.
I even used my TWW boost on a second Druid, I don’t need anything else at 70 as I have all the other healers maxed anyway, so I thought might as well.
I don’t hate the drop chance, but I would like if the spawn timers were just a tad bit reduced, that’s my main issue with them since they die super quick and they’re not announced on the map like ZC or FR.

even worse after wasting 5 hours today farming it on alts I called out the rare as I usually do for druids in the area and a warrior runs in, nukes it in seconds then types “zug zug” in chat to mock all the people who showed up a few seconds too late, if it isn’t trolls then it’s the druids there never wait and nuke it, wait for people to show up, they won’t hurt your chances of a drop, be a decent human.
