In Shadowlands druids will no longer have the ability they have had since TBC- to be able to automatically fly once they learn their Flight form. This is a very old and iconic ability which is a part of the druid’s history and I really cannot see the need. It’s also rather illogical if you think about it… OK, my druid can change into a bird but…I can’t actually fly until someone trains me to fly. Weird, much?
So I can change into a dolphin but I don’t need to learn to swim, and change into a deer but I know how to run. It isn’t like my druid is a chick still in the nest gamely flapping around on featherless wings!
Sometimes Blizzard does things that make little sense. At a time they are saying they are bringing back old abililties removed, they then go and remove an old ability. I guess, in the scheme of things, it isn’t that huge, but …yeah, just odd and a little bit sad.
PS: OK, I’ve edited it, it shoudl say “since TBC”… I need coffee, I admit it.
I guess if you like blew up the druid in Vanilla they’d fly a bit?

Don’t worry, you’ll be able to fly just as well as Druids in Vanilla could.

birds are born with wings and the instinct to fly, but until they learn how to fly, they are for the most part flightless.

Funny, I thought this was a fantasy game with magic and all that sort of stuff. But yeah, RP elements, I get we need less of 'em…
Good change, all players need to pay for flight. I doubt anyone is going to miss 250 gold.

It’s just another unneeded annoyance coupled with a way to gouge us for more gold, that’s how I see it.

This is the signal that the hybrid tax is back. The devs like the idea of the hybrid tax so much we should expect to see many new manifestations of it in this expansion and in the future.
