Since the latest patch 9.2.0, druid flight form is now disconnecting in Legion open world areas. This happens whenever “x” or “space bar” are used by themselves to go straight up or straight down. The DC happens every time. This persisted w/ all addons disabled.

But, did it persist with a full UI reset? Disabling addons doesn’t remove their ability to affect the UI and cause such issues.
Same thing here – my druids in flight form kept getting disconnected; but only in Legion zones, and only when using the space-bar to go straight up, or the x-key to go straight down. If my druid was moving forwards and then moved up or down at the same time, no disconnects.
I disabled all add-ons, but still got disconnects.
I did the full UI reset, but still got the disconnects.
I did a complete uninstall/reinstall of all Warcraft and Blizzard apps, even did the new install on a different drive… but still got the disconnects.
Then I unassigned the Combat Ally bodyguard I had assigned to the druid.
- No more disconnects! *
So it appears there is a bug when a druid has an active Combat Ally bodyguard assigned, is in flight form, and moves straight up, or straight down.

I can confirm that removing my assigned bodyguard (Thisalee in this case), does in fact make it so I no longer disconnect on this character. Thank you!

I can also confirm, making Thisalee leave by using the ‘fall back’ ability so she wouldn’t follow you around solved this issue for me. Thank you very much Arkadii.

Still bugged. When switching to using Thisalee as a button, still disconnects both in the world and the dreamgrove. After removing Thisalee as a follower, still disconnects.
Character is Ursamayor-Goldrinn, in case someone wants to log into my account (account3) and test her.
Edit to add: that character is not experiencing disconnects today. I cycled through all possible bodyguards and put Thisalee back, and I am not seeing disconnects.

This is still happening. I disconnected like three or four times in just a few minutes because I just switched to having Thisalee as my combat ally and wasn’t aware of this bug.

As an aside, this same thing happens in DF with dragonriding to more then druids, wonder if now they will address it. Doubtful.
