I feel like we got screwed over with our class mount. All the other classes get cool mounts that they can use anywhere you can mount but us druids can only do it when we have flying (aka at the end of a expansion), I just feel like we should be able to have a class mount that extends to our moose/seal.

I mean, we get a flying passenger mount just for being a druid. I would agree with you that if you didn’t really care for the appearance considering they just used the skeleton of the Ashe’s of Alar, but other then that our class mount is probably the best of the bunch when it comes to utility.

I gotta agree with this. At the small cost of being unable to use it without flying, we get the best mount in the game imo.
Instant and can carry people? Perfection.

Yes, but we can only use that 2-seater at the end of a xpack when we get flying.
Being able to have a passenger makes it the one mount I actually really care about.

Yea me too, but as said it doesn’t really matter when you can only use it for a fraction of the expansion. They are removing a lot of the pathfinders (not sure about the bfa one) so we can’t even argue that we can carry our friends through zones they don’t have flying in. I would just want a new stag form like the one Malfurion has.
how do we activate the class mount?

There’s an NPC in the Dreamgrove who can swap between your normal flight form and the Diabeetus Bird form. If you are on an alt Druid, the same NPC is on the roof of a building in the Moonglade who can do the same thing. I don’t remember if there was a level requirement or not on an alt.

The requirement is supposedly level 80 and maxed out flying, which alts on a new server may not be able to afford (~10k gold).
However, a level 58 druid alt can speak to the npc in moonglade, ask to be switched, and see that its utility is kind of broken and the Lunarwing form doesn’t appear. To access the actual Lunarwing form, faster flying is required.
My issue with the Lunarwing form is that phasing often will dismount passengers as you fly between sub zones and quests in certain zones. A druid who is dismounted in this way can usually shift to flight form and remount. But having to wait for a priest to parachute down to remount, only to be dismounted multiple times across certain zones (thinking Stormheim, Broken Shore, and Nazmir here) means it’s not useful for that. So I end up using mounts and /follow to keep from having to do rescues.
That’s true for current content, but it’s not 100% true considering you can fly everywhere else.
I know, semantics, but it’s worth mentioning.
At the very least it would seem the trouble lies with Blizz not wanting to give us flying till the end of the expansion if you really want a passenger mount that walks there are a few you can buy.
Second, your travel from also acts as a mount, I’m constantly being ridden by my friend’s and strangers when running around doing my quests and such, and I’m pretty sure when you’re out of combat it’s considered the same speed as a mount.
But again, probably biased cause i dont really like the look of our class mount, feels lazy in comparison to the other ones.
I was pretty excited to get the Lunarwing when catching up my druid, but it didn’t take long for me to de-activate it.
Regrettably, I don’t enjoy traveling around on the extra-large mounts, ground or flight. I prefer the mounts that are fairly compact or stream-lined, and the traditional raven or sentinel owl perfectly suits my taste.
Some of the coolest mounts in-game are gigantic beasts, but they sure do block a lot of the landscape. A good example for me are the cloud serpents. Those things were fantastic rewards in MoP, but they sure clog up the sky.
This has been said many times sadly. Druids didn’t get a class mount, they got a Class Form.
Really what should have happened was we get an Ysera form or some Green Dragonish thing to transform into, similar to that sandstone drake.
As it then counts as a mount, and can be a two seater, and we still change forms.
You mean like the fireland legendary Dragonwrath?
Been there, done that.
No like the sandstone drake, not a weapon you have to equip that only works then.
A mount you learn, to add to the collection, to then be used as a two seater.

I was talking in terms of appearance.
We have red blue and black dragon aspect appearances already.
Adding the green one at this point feels… meh.
Well respect to Ysera would have been a nice touch, as that xpac we just watched her die. Also much better form than the derp bird, my only hope is I get to pick the color option I want come SL.
I don’t recall any red, blue or black dragon aspect that Druids can turn into so please inform me?
The dragon staff is not a mount for the collection count so I’d like to not have another one.
The Druid form again doesn’t count when every other class hall mount does ?

The red dragon mount drops off deathwing, and the deathwing looking one is from the 15th anniversary.
MEH not druid at all, and while those are mounts Druids still didn’t get a mount to be added to the collection. So I stand, they should have given us a Ysera remembrance. Similar to that of the one we got from the deathwing drops but Green to represent her somehow.
As it stand yes Druids didn’t get a mount, do have a two seater and is a derp but we love it . ish.
