Blizzards posted Druid and DK talents for DF, have fun reading
Also:
- “Doesn’t this all mean that I will use some of my points to re-buy some things that were baseline in Shadowlands?”
- For all the reasons mentioned above, making a huge swath of abilities open to player decision-making requires this. We hear this feedback as primarily a concern about having much less “stuff” than you had in Shadowlands. After starting with your basic class and spending 61 points in a tree, will you feel “pruned”? Openly, our goal is that you don’t. We’ll be watching for feedback on this. Our goal is for a Dragonflight character to feel like it has a similar amount of power and complexity—which can be hard to quantify—as a Shadowlands character. The main difference is you getting to choose which active buttons and passive bonuses make up that toolset, and potentially having combinations that were previously impossible.
This is exactly what I was expecting would happen, this is funny as hell, less stuff than we had in shadowlands. But I already see some busted effects that’s gonna be pretty good nonetheless.

If this is their “system” instead of farming dragon turds every day for player power then I’m all for it.

If this replaces all the stupid power system to farm chores over and over(aka conduits, renown and all that stupid stuff) we are in a good path.
Hope you are listening blizz, thanks.

Looks very promising, and has about as much freedom as I’d hoped it would! It’s hard to theorycraft a build just looking at the separate text and images, without an interactive calculator, granted. FYI, if you want to try:
Your first class tree point is awarded at level 10, and your first specialization tree point at level 11, alternating between the two from there. At level 70, you will have 31 available class points and 30 specialization points.
It’s looking like we will be able to make significant decisions around abilities we don’t feel we need, and having access to multiple abilities currently in the same rows. Not to mention multiple “legendary” powers, as we now know them!
Even if there end up being cookie cutter builds, I think it’s fair to say these options better than their current incarnations.

Cyclone back to being a talent. Rest looks ok. Some nice new additions like new mark of the wild. Still have the feeling Blizz is trying to sell use something old as shiny and new.
Looks great imo. Allows for a lot of customization as far as playstyle/builds go without having to farm borrowed power shiza for it.

New is old as old becomes new again.
That’s all WoW is, my friend, if you boil off the content and only consider the high level. You can boil most arts and products in life down to ideas someone already had, but were iterated and improved upon. Nothing is new, but they can be shinier - or more matte if that’s your preference.
The greatness and success will be in how things feel and how they’re balanced.
As long as the talent trees are big and exciting again, I have agency, I can spend hours pouring over them, wiping it up and trying something new, getting my serotonin and dopamine firing again, I’m happy.

feral tree looks kinda bad for the choices you have to make
also why the hell are they actually keeping convoke in the game it’s so toxic in arena

Hey get ready to have to pick Survival instincts if you want a real wall. since its not longer just a thing you have for being feral.

Annecdotal, but every druid I know and raid with loves to press convoke. I imagine that sentiment is echoed across the general druid player base.
If the amount of modifiers in the game is reduced next expansion, it might not even be the best pvp talent. This would ideally kill two birds with one stone. Hard to make a real guess though with the expansion so far out.

Because it’s a fun and popular ability.

I like marks to much to do that. Venthyr MM is bae
idk it honestly makes me feel bored when convoke is down which shouldnt be the case
also makes the class feel gimmicky to me
i agree with it being a pve thing just lame in arena especially if you have trinkets like resolve
worried about being able to get predator’s swiftness, clone, and SI all together in some viable build though
feels like i’m losing abilities for “freedom” when there’s just gonna be a bis talent tree for each type of content anyway
Seems like Covenant Abilities are on a ‘‘node’’ choice, so if you don’t like Convoke, you can pick the other bonus in it.
But yeah, having access to Convoke on top of other stuff might be too good, hopefully, it’s not the 1min version
The art in the background of the dk talent trees is super cool, has a very mtg planeswalker/ dragon vibe to it. Hope they keep it and dont revert to some generic background

Is it just me or does the Unholy dk tree seem like we might be able to do the hard hitting, not-pet-reliant spec like Unholy used to be?
