Long story short I’ve been looking for macros for Cat Form/Prowl and this one that I’ve found

/cancelaura Travel Form
/cast [nostance]Cat Form
/cast Prowl
has worked splendidly for what I want. Except that sometimes when I go into Prowl/Cat Form, FOR SOME REASON, it will sometimes shows my caster action bar instead of my Cat action bar. I don’t use any addons for my action bars, it’s completely Blizzard’s base UI for me. Is there some reason why this is happening? Also if someone could help me with the macro I’d appreciate that as well.

Prowl is a different action bar than cat

It’s been like literally a decade since I used blizzard ui bars but I believe there was a number beside the bar that would show you what bar you are on (something like 1-6).
It might only switch between bar 1s so if you set up your caster bars on another bar by accident it may not switch when you change forms.

Yes I understand this. I’ve set up both my Prowl and Cat form bars to be the exact same. What I’m saying is that it shows my caster bar sometimes instead of my Cat or Prowl bar.
try SHIFT+1 and SHIFT+2 when in cat.
If his macro is bound to shift it might also be swapping the bars.
OP go through your keybinds and think about un/rebinding the change bar binds. I think blizzard defaults them to shift 1-6

All you need is convoke. *Jokes aside try out what Angrymama has said. Worked for me in the past.
My Shift+1/2 keys are bound to other things, but if you’re trying to have me change my bars while in Prowl/Cat Form, all it does is change my caster bar to my profession bar (thus named because it’s where all my profession stuff goes on toons) and vice versa.
Then the best you can do is re-org the bar#1 Sorry m8

1-4 and if you accidently hit shift and scroll your mouse it looks like your setup went POOF!!
I suppose it he doesn’t want to reorganize his bars, he could get bartender and re-bind them to forms.
but it’s probably easier to reorganize the bars
I don’t think you guys are reading what I am saying. Most of the time it works the way it’s supposed to, but SOMETIMES it just shows my caster bar. It’s not that my bars aren’t set up properly, it just bugs out. I don’t have my action bars keybound to anything, so I can’t accidently shift+mouse scroll to change them.

Literally never had this problem while prowling in (how long has it been since I started a Feral in Wrath?).
I’m betting there’s an addon doing something funky, or you are doing something funky that you’re not telling us because it doesn’t seem relevant to you.
Let’s see… it doesn’t matter if I’m in combat or not. It seems to only happen when I’m pressing the macro button quickly, and I’ve only seen the caster bar randomly while in Prowl.
Also it seems to happen with the above macro and this new one I got

/cast [nostance:3]Cat Form
/cast Prowl
What exactly is the point of the macro if I may ask? Casting Prowl from any stance activates Cat form and Prowl does it not?

If you cast prowl while in combat it doesn’t put you into Cat form, if that’s what you’re suggesting. I wish it did, would make this whole thing a non-issue for me.
Okay so how is that supposed to help me with my current issue?

You don’t need a macro to go from travel form to prowling, it’s automatic.
Try removing the cancelform part of the macro. If you’re using it in combat to shift to cat form, then the issue might be that you’re pressing the macro during a GCD and only the cancelform part is triggering, putting you back in caster form and not activating cat form. Shifting forms doesn’t require canceling your current form anyway, so that line is redundant.
