Between the Blood Elves and the Nightborne, most of the themes that distinguish Drows were already heavily explored.
As far as Aesthetics goes, you’ll be able to make black Blood Elves in Shadowlands.

They probably won’t for copyright reasons. I am hoping they at least add “normal” hair options to void elves, so that I can make one of my Velfs look like one at least. As it is, Belfs will have the option.

Actually that was the origional concept of the Night Elves. Though they changed plans and by the time they actually came out the only aspects of Drow that remained were the purple skin, Female lead society, males were magic users, lead by female preistess’s of a powerful female god.
They then sort of revisited the drow themes with Nightborne, including the Fal’dorei, who are driders.

Night elves are dark skinned elves that fulfill the “wood elf” fantasy. They fulfill both.

No, I don’t know what a drow is aside from the fact that it’s a dark elf that makes me think of eyebrows because of the name. Night elves have huge eyebrows and dark skin, therefor they are drow. Your welcome.

That’s pretty consistent with virtually any “Elf” lore ever since Tolkien.

Night Elves have nothing to do with Drows outside being nocturnal and revering the moon, which is an inversion of the normal trope as usually “nature based” elves tend to pray to the sun and are fair skinned diurnal creatures.
The closest thing to Drows WoW has are the Nightbornes. The BC Blood Elf lore was also pretty close to what you usually see in term of themes tied to them as well.
