Drov the ruiner spawns once per day randomply

I have had 2 in game GM’s confirm this statement. After looking for Drov four a couple weeks and opening a ticket, I have had 2 GM’s state that Drov the ruiner will spawn once a day, at a random time.

Could a Blizz rep explain why this change was put in, and how the hell do you justify this as a “fun” change, making it virtually impossible to catch Drov if you are a working adult.

Honestly, it is easier to win the STV fishing contest at this point, than catching a mob that only spawns once randomly a day.

Well, this seems super odd.

  1. GM’s are not allowed to give hints about anything in game.

  2. In WoD, Tarlna and Drov swapped spawns every two weeks (it might have been every week - WoD was 2 expacs ago). They definitely went back and forth on the timer whatever it was - weekly or 2 weeks.

  3. In Legion this pattern was broken at some point and their spawning has never been explained since.

  4. Earlier in this thread someone said the spawns were changed to daily.

  5. This thread was started because Tarlna would not spawn - now it’s Drov?

  6. Probably most importantly, whatever their spawn timer - daily, weekly, bi-weekly - Drov and Tarlna share a spawn across all realms in North America. One of them is up on every realm in North America at the same time. To have one of them spawn once in a day’s span would be impossible.

Thats why I had to ask several times. I recall back in WoD, when it launched, they ahd bugged spawn and both appeared the first week, and you could get credit for both. Afterwards it was fixed to swap out weekly.

Since then it has been changed and there is no consensus or explanation on what it really is, other than as I said, 2 separate GM’s claim he spawns once a day randomly.

As a note, the post about changes to spawn daily was from when 7.3.5 launched, so a fair bit of time ago as well.

Tarlna is definitely up today.

The note about it changing at 7.3.5 was made a few months ago - well after 7.3.5.

Tuesday Nov 27th Drov has spawned twice, so the GM message saying it was randomly once a day is wrong. So thats a relief. That said, I still dont know for sure if the spawn swap chance is daily or weekly. We shall see tomorrow what is up.

UPDATE" Wednesday he has spawned again so it’s a possible weekly swap or daily with really crap luck the last 2 weeks.
