Dropping out of High School to become a WoW Pro, should I do it?

Hello all,

In October 2011 I reached Masters league in SC2. I had a similar dream as the original poster. I dropped out of Colgate as a sophomore and moved to Mok Dong South Korea on my meager savings. I streamed every single night, never garnering more than 3 viewers. My life was in RUINS at this decision.

6 months later I am back in Connecticut going to a local school earning my cpa getting a job etc.

Never, ever believe you can do this. You will fail.

If you want to pursue streaming fulltime then you need to start part time while still at school. You should try and do it as much as you can while not impacting school. Try it for 12 months and see how it goes. Its such a risk to drop out of school without even trying it or testing to see if you get subscribers and whether you’ll be popular enough to potentially do it full time. At a minimum you should be finishing high school with the aim to do more study at University and working on streaming in your spare time. Anyone can stream but not everyone can make a living out of it.

Hopefully this terrible necro doesn’t remind this dude to start posting again.
