Returning player, looking to drop some old expansion stuff. Is there a way to get Dragonflight out of my quest log? I seriously doubt I’m ever going to play it, I did not like it at all.
The “new” Follower dungeons are wonderful, but is there a way to allow LFG to do one partially? Like if I’m in a DPS queue waiting and waiting, can I elect to play in a mixed human/Follower group?
Can’t you just select each quest and Abandon it?
No, you can’t mix regular LFD with Follower. You can get a party together manually and then choose Follower to go with what you have, but there is no way to do that while waiting for a random group.

For individual quests yes, but the big “continue the story” thing is still there.
Ah, that. I don’t think there’s a way to remove that. Blizzard out it there specifically so that people who were lost about where they should be questing would see it, so I think you are stuck with it until you reach a level and are in a continent where it is no longer relevant.

Or, when you reach a level where you don’t need any help to complete the outdated “group” content. (If you insist on hanging on to those quests.)

I think Valdavint is talking about Blizzard’s “Continue the Campaign” entry, that stays at the top of the quest log regardless of what quests you currently have.

If it’s old content, it can be completed and that removes the banner. Likewise current content.
I don’t think the quest UI puts in campaign banners for stuff you’re not eligible for.
Agreed, not in content that you are not eligible for, but Valdavint is still eligible for Dragonflight, but hasn’t completed it and wants out of it.
I think the prompt will go away with some levels and/or after starting TWW campaign - when I think it will be replaced by the TWW campaign notice.
Maybe.
But undoubtedly, the developers have decided that campaign content is important and have no incentive to make it seem less so. Consider how many complaints you see here about features in old content locked behind unfinished campaigns.
The devs want you to do the campaigns, “outdated” or not. You play the game as designed or you may as well not play at all.

Yup, they surely do want you to Do It Their Way.
Brrrrrrr! I just had a Shadowlands flashback. I need to go lie down for a while.
