My framerate starts normal at around 144, during about 5 minutes of play no matter where I am at it drops to around 7. it’s been going on since Tuesdays reset. I’ve tried many things. bios up to date, gpu up to date, no addons , no isp problems, lowered settings, it has to be on blizzards end because I’ve never had a problem before. this is actually my second post I believe since I started playing wow when BC came out. I am at a loss and I really can’t figure this out. help would be appreciated
I do not recall a patch since Tuesday. A frame drop would not necessarily be specific to server or latency. It could be a hardware thing, more information for your CPU to manage, more graphical stuff for your GPU to handle, etc. More information would be necessary. Until then

8 fps is the minimum background fps limit. Check your settings and you’ll see you probably have the option enabled and set to 8.
Something in your system is causing WoW to lose focus and go into background mode. Check for any running apps that might have overlay features built into them. Even mouse and keyboard softwares have them these days. Discord, RTSS, game apps like steam, etc etc, disable/close ALL of them.
