Did I miss something during the campaign in the Waking Shores, or is the red dragon egg corrupted by fire primalist magic a dropped plot point?
I really wanted to see what became of the whelpling hatched from this egg and it felt like it was going to be an important story point for later, but I’ve seen nothing since restoring the ruby oathstone.
I assumed that returning it to the ruby life pool cured the corruption and resolved the issue?
One of two things happened (in my head anyway). Either a) the ruby pools cleansed it or b) there was no saving it an it’s the renewed protodrake we’re riding (kidding).
In all seriousness I assumed that bringing it to the pools cleansed it. Because if not, then Sendrax (I think that was her name) sacrificing herself for it meant nothing.
She was trying to keep the Red Whelp from going berserk like the others who hatched.
The Waters of the Ruby Life Pools have Order in them so the Whelp may still have Fire but it won’t be savage like the other Whelps who attacked us upon hatching.
There is also a Lightning infused Ruby Dragon Egg we rescue so we will get a Lightning breathing Red Dragon too(imagine Red Lightning that grows Trees being breathed out of the Red Dragon’s mouth). Not to mention an Earth breathing Emerald Dragon, Earth Breathing Azure Dragon and a Frost Breathing Bronze Dragon.
