The drop rate Enchanted Shadowflame Crest formulas should be improved. Was farming rares and chests with my enchanter for several hours yesterday - zero drops, non of the three new recipies.
These enchants are a basic must have for any professional crafter, obtaining these recipies should be not based on RNG luck with a very low drop rate.
Either make them purchasable or trainable from a profession trainer, or improve the drop rate.

That sucks. I did the same, but got my first one from a chest and started ignoring the rares and got the rest from chests only.

has anyone gotten the recipes from Rares? or is it just random chests? like trash piles or what ever they are called
Confirmed: it can drop from rares: I got the formula for shadowflame welpling crest from Kaproku (map: 59/40)
I got one of them from a rare and the rest from chests.
I received a crest and titan matrix pattern from rares today. Nothing from chests yet for me.
Edit: got the last two this morning from rares. Drop rate has been very high for me.
Terrible drop rate for me too, have gotten nearly all the chests and farmed a bunch of rares, havent seen a single pattern yet.
drop rate is really high, OP just didn’t try for very long. 2 different chars, got all the recipes within hour of reaching the area on both chars.

The opening poster was right. Early in the patch I killed every rare I could trying to get the drops. Got none. This week I got drops of three of the four recipes from killing a small number of rares. I think the drop rate was improved at some point or I passed some threshhold of kills that increased the drop rate.
Just RNG, if you’re lucky, you’re lucky, i got all 3 crest recipes and the titan matrix V all within 10 mins of taking my alt there…tbh i was shocked how fast they dropped for me lol
What are the chests? How do you get or find them? Sorry I’m new to this. Just traded my mining in and started enchanting instead with my jewel crafting
Not chests but crests - there were three enchanting recipes added for crests used in 10.1 crafting and 1 for titan matrix V - these are all drops from rares or found in treasures in the cavern.

Ok - the recipes mostly drop from rares - they are occasionally found in treasures / chests. You see these as white ‘chest’ type markers on the map.
Had all three by first day, simply by killing some rares - didnt even go for full clear of the cavern. If you want to avoid the rare killing and just open smelly garbage piles and daily lockout loot chests, I am fine with that being limited tbh.
ive been killing rares and openning every chest i can find for the last 2 weeks, not sure about the drop rate but i have 1 out of the 3. considering how essential these are to current content & the amount of time ive already dumped into farming these recipes, i should have them already. The drop rate should be higher & the RNG Factor should be lower, the only difference between these new recipes and the Lariat(Still going for over 2mil) is that ur never gonna see it on the AH, meanwhile ppl are making bank and i cant even get the damn recipe… and by the looks of it? im not the only one. it’s somewhat comforting knowing im not the only person out here wasting their time fighting the RNG gods… Hopefully i can get these recipes and make some gold with them before they are obsolete…
been at it for 2 weeks, i got the aspect recipe on the first day, havent seen one since and i’ve spent more time farming for these stupid recipes then i have doing dungeons and raiding combined…i basically spend my days in this stupid cavern. these arent ‘limited’ these are straight up luck and RNG based.
