About 12% of wow’s player base are over 30, so some of us do know.
I read Thrall’s books before I played this game.
Too bad the later developers butchered his character.

I’ve always like mysterious, enlightened cultures in Sci-fi and fantasy so that’s why elves appeal to me, and being attractive doesn’t hurt. =p
Elves descended from Trolls. Orcs are just orcs.
There’s just so many of them, and while I’m sure most elf players are just fine, the ones that aren’t have some kind of superiority complex that they won’t shut up about, like they’re special for playing the most common race in the game.
Been a while, but I think the orcs in Lord of the Rings were mutated/corrupted from elves, which is probably what they were referring to.

My faves would be Drizzt and Elric. Since Melniboneans are elf-like.
