Now alliance pugs that ARE NOT in premade discord servers are beating the horde most of the time with this “Drek or kek” strat. I’m just wondering what their stance on this is? For a few weeks now they been crying about the discord premades saying it’s not fair but now it’s just pugs winning most of the time. (Althou I suspect this will only last for AV weekend then it will be back to the discord groups.)

Whose stance? I’m sure Alliance PuGs have a positive stance.
I’m queuing with my horde alt and I’m going to keep saying the following at the start of the games:
“I’m playing defense. You people can do what you want”.
That seems to encourage more horde to play defense and I’ve seen more horde wins than not since doing it.
I don’t like the rush stat so I’m fighting against it.

Defence is a guaranteed loss, the meta for Horde has to be base race.

Right, that’s my goal.
Pointytusks and other people can do what they want and I’ll tell other horde to do what they want. I’ve won more games than I’ve lost since just saying that and playing defense.

This is how I remember AV back in the day, whoever had the best geared PvE players would win because they could do it quicker. Now that every single Alliance ALT is exalted with AV we can see the BG for what it is and stop complaining about minor details about the map.

The best and most fun games I’ve had have been the one with turnabouts, table turning, constant back and forth fighting the opposite faction for control over bunkers and graveyards. Whether it was a win or a loss, by the end at least it was fun, and I actually PvP.
This “Drek or kek” strategy, although effective for the time being (mostly because of the doubled rep/honor values from AV weekend which results in ~2k honor matches; normal rep/honor values will probably make this strategy less ideal outside of AV weekend) are dull and boring. It’s the same thing every game. It’s just a game of numbers now, it’s all about the HPH, there’s barely any PvP unless I go out of my way, and anyone who does go out of their way and deviate from the strategy is called out for “almost losing us the match”.
Well, HPH can suck it. I’d rather have a long, fun PvP match that I can say “hey that was fun”, even if I lose a few, than a string of forgettable, mindless, near-identical rushed victories that blend together in memory. The sooner this strategy fades away, the better.

If you told me 6 months ago a day would come on my alliance rogue that I would have a full stack of AV marks in a relatively short time I would have thought you were smoking something.
If you told me I wouldnt care for it either I would have asked you to share.

Exactly. That’s why I’m fighting against it by killing the ally rushers. I don’t want this to last past AV weekend because it’s boring. PVE server HPH hour horde can do what they want.

This is exactly why I am promoting the Alliance abandon AV again because the leeches are back, its full of level 58’s and under geared AFK zugzugs that want to get carried promoting this crap.

I’ve been backtracking to defend bunkers myself and let the rushers go ahead. I do manage to recapture or defend them sometimes, though since I’m typically on my own doesn’t work so well when there’s more than one Horde.

I’ve been bringing my 52 lock in there. You think horde don’t do the same? What’s wrong with gettin xp from harpies while gainin AV rep, so no I’m not AFK =)
So here is the problem, those quests were useful in the earlier version of AV that required certain quests were done to get the rams and gryphons to push the assault forward, but in the present meta its pointless. Yes the Horde has AFK’rs and sub 60’s, and really it boils down to what team has the most leeches is the one who’s gonna flop.
Alliance right now has the least amount of leeches, but that’s swiftly changing because its now known that Alliance is winning.
Typical skeram alliance rat behavior, full vendor gear leechers is the only ally on that server.
Surprising because you usually did well on your rogue.
