So the Dreamtalon (cat-raptors) have been datamined with glyph options for druid customizations! They are amazing and I’m excited to obtain it in 10.2. However, I have one concern… My question is this: Is it a special feral form or just another travel form? Given the were-bear, special silhouettes aren’t out of the question. Plus many of us have wanted a combat raptor form for ages.
All this being said, what do you think it will be and what would you prefer it to be? This is early 10.2, so things are subject to change with enough feedback!
If they make it a travel form I think I’d be kind of sad tbh. I barely use my travel form as is and it would feel like a waste. Especially since it’s a literal blend of two really cool creatures. Like I can deal with limited animations if that’s an issue/setback. The werebear lacked plenty in Legion and they fixed it later on.
Doubtful, but hopeful.
Every single feral form in the game so far shares the same skeleton, and itʻs not that one.
however if they did claws of whatever saberon god that was & Gorilla bears, they maybe could do raptor ferals too, although thatʻs a whole new bag of druids to contend with…

True, but I will say every other group type has multiple silhouettes (skeleton options) except for feral. Why they are the only one restricted to that rule has baffled me. Hell, Zandalari should’ve gotten raptors as their feral and not the lizard (or given both as an option, more is better).
But the fact that they are “Cat”-raptors fills me with the tiniest shred of hope. Like if all we get is the dreamsaber and guardian gets three new variations (one being a werebear variant) I’d be disappointed. Happy for the others to get their forms, but feral needs to spice up the druid marriage too!
I actually did find one of the dreamtalon glyphs, as well as the owlbear, stag, and dreamsaber. However upon using the spell, none of the show up in the barbershop at all.
Makes me wonder if they’ll ever give worgen a “wolf” option given their origins as druids of the pack. Canonically dangerous? Yes, but so is the night warrior, which is a regular cosmetic for NE players.
It looks like it has a saddle to me, but maybe that’s just the way the armor is shaped. I’m thinking travel form. It seems more likely than creating all of the feral action forms.
i hope they do that since i want them to branch out for druid forums. wolves spiders and other animals. i get the lore reasons but i want more choice. i also want to be able to use the highmountain tauren cat form on my nelf but that to wont happen
Especially since Kul Tiran Feral form is basically a drust wolf! I want a troll tiger on my Tauren XD But if catraptors are feral I’ll be that for a loooong time
Honestly same. What I really wish is that HMT were just merged with the original tauren as cosmetics. Or rather, races super closely related like that get to pick their racial buffs and swap between cosmetics (to include voice options). Like I love the Tauren Yellow Lion, but man the unreleased version for HMT was soooo good. I was so upset that it wasn’t a part of the barber options.
