There are definitely options out there, I’ll probably do the Time-Rift event one since it is upgradable. Just sucks that the specific off-hand options are the rare/weekly token options. Whereas in the event you can farm up the Dreamsurge currency.
Would be nice to just hangout in the event and fully gear up alts. Still easy gearing event though.

Uhh all you guys complaining should really check current content lol. The time rift guys have trinkets AND off hands like shields. You were not forgotten, but you seem to have misplaced yourselves. The only difference bwtween timerift vendor and dreamsurge is time rift gives 1 (ON RARE OCCCASSION 2 capsules if you are super lucky.) So plan ahead before investing in your catch up gear 
I think it took me 3 tries to get a Staff for my Priest.
Just buy all the main pieces and rings and neck, then use your weekly Dreamsurge quest token to buy the staff off Hamuul.
It depends on “loot spec”
Fire mage is a dagger/off hand
Set your spec to arcane.
I have to set my spec to arms otherwise i get one handed swords as fury which no one uses lol.
Yeah… People not using their first weekly reward for a 415 champion-path weapon but going through the trouble trying to get a 402 weapon confuses me. Then again, considering it’s incredibly easy to get a 424 in any slot now through public orders.
I didn’t try that I just switched to arms.
Bit of a necro here, but so far after I think 5 boxes I have only got shields and off-handers, never the 1H weapon. This is across a few toons. Its getting frustrating because once opened I cant even send them to other toons who may need them. I just have to burn Weapon boxes and hope.
Every other item slot gets exactly what you want.
Don’t the Time Rift vendors have off-hands of the same item level?
Don’t the 415 dreambound items you get from the Chrysalis let you choose exactly which weapon you want? I think this is the solution, it’s just once/weekly instead of as much green goo as you can farm.
