while fighting the preying dustmoth and receiving the drowsy debuff the chest still won’t open. I have not opened the chest before and I kill the moth while still having the debuff and nothing happens. I still see the chest on my mini map. this has been happening since the patch went live.
How many stacks of the debuff did you have on you? When i opened the chest, I had two stacks.
just 1 it only lasts for 13 seconds
just did this for the second time a while ago.
It is finicky, and the “Invalid target” warning when you’re not drowsy does make it look broken. I had to try a couple of times to get it to work on my main but omeone else was in the area and had just got it.
There might be a hidden cool down from when someone else gets it.
Pull 2 mobs and let them cast the debuff on you. Check to see if you get the cogwheel over the chest. If you do see it, then kill the mobs and open the chest while having the two stacks.

This has happened to me twice in the past 7 days on two different characters. Had the debuff, no icon to click/open the chest. The debuff goes away before one can try /reload. Only option is to go find another Preying moth and try again.
…which is extremely annoying.
