Draw Distance

It’s really bad, even worse than FF14’s which is limited due to console hardware.

Increasing it would make the world feel a lot more alive, and offer new challenges or advantages when it comes to PvP.

It’s sad flying through areas on a flight path and the world just looks…empty.

I was certain the view distance was able to be set higher on the 1.12 client. It would be nice to see more of the world.

Same here too.

I’m not asking for fog distance where it loads the entire world up to a point where i’m running 1fps, i’m more or less asking the option have the range be similar to retail. Or much further then that actually, or you know what? have that example above be the max or allow us to set our own fog distances to what we desire without limit.

In before “The fog makes the world feel bigger”… The world is already big, the fog would just make it feel like a ps1 game. (which is really unfair to say cause Spyro was on the PS1 and it had some big levels and hardly uses the fog but uses LOD in a lot of cases)

The fog really helps with atmosphere IMHO.

It also hides how small the world really is. Old GTA games use the same trick

The classic client appears to be defaulted to maximum view distance of the old 1.12 client. I remember playing on my old turd computer and couldn’t see inside the auction house from the mailbox in org.

I’m not sure what you guys mean about fog.
I have no fog in my game, it’s still crystal clear terrain wise, it just doesn’t show units.

The draw distance on northdale (lights hope) is what im used to unfortunately, which if you are familiar with the barrens. You could stand at the centaur bosses hut and see players fighting the harpies. It was incredibly high, i dont kmow how they managed it.

this 10char

That’s funny considering that we have WAY better draw distance than we did in Vanilla
