Draka was by far the worst choice for Maldraxxus story

If you wanted an actual orc warrior considering everything that just happened in BfA to his brother, Broxigar clearly would have made for a much more interesting compelling story Or heck even Dranosh his son would have been a better character to see. No one cared or still cares about Draka she was boring and still is boring.

we don’t need to see thrall reunite with his mother what interesting conversation is that going to lead to “thanks for sending me down the river like the baby Moses I am!” Way would have preferred story where Brox or Dran or heck even both team up with you to try to save Varok from the Maw. It’s just mind boggling they decided to bring back one of the most bland character that only existed to forward the plot of birthing Thrall.

I like Draka, but as far as orcs we could be associating with are concerned, I agree that Broxigar would have been a million times more entertaining.

Oh wow, really? I really like Draka as a character, especially how she ties in to Thrall and other major old-school members of the Horde.

Plus I thought her particular aspect of the current story / quest line was pretty well done. A quick reference to her past life (they didn’t go overboard on the detail), and then her arrival and evolution in Maldraxxus. I’m not sure how picking someone else would really change that, per se.

And that’s a fascinating take, I felt she has a lot more depth to her than simply being “Thrall’s mother”, lol

I don’t mind Draka any more less than other Orcs options… What I do mind is that we the other zones/covenants have Eternal Ones etc as leaders and Maldraxxus gets an Orc.

She was pretty boring.

what about her ever made her more interesting than “thrall’s mom”? there wasn’t anything else to her cause that’s all she was meant to be and all she had to be, it’s a throw away character that existed to give green jesus batman-esque dead parents. if you REALLY wanted to give thrall someone meaningful another 2 better choice would have been either Grom or Orgrim yet again another 2 great Orcs actually KNOWN for being warriors who both have more meaningful connections to past characters.

Broxigar for the Horde and Lothar for the Alliance would’ve been an interesting duo to have.

Pretty sure they chose her because she’s one of the few relevant female characters from pre WC3. The other’s are alive.

to be honest Lothar was my #1 hope for alliance but Mograine isn’t a bad choice I do still like him.

Dude agree. Or have it swapped for Alliance. Mograine sending us into the maw to rescue Draka.

Broxigar is my favorite orc! The only mortal to injury Sargeras made him an instant badass!

But Broxigar isn’t a female and doesn’t fit the agenda.

Um sweetie, it’s 2020. You’re either #withher or sit there and eat your food. Hope you don’t cry later on when they officially crown Sylvanas Supreme Overlord of both factions.

Uhm… wut

Yeah that’s pretty stupid. An orc that’s been dead for barely 40 years at that.

As if you don’t know.

What is everyone’ fascination with Broxigar? He is a major mary-sue with barely any character development other than “sad orc who wants to die manages to wound Sargeras somehow”

Someone like Doomhammer would be much more interesting.

I mean that’s because he’s the only mortal who fought sargeras.

I wouldnt say shes the leader if Maldraxxus, just who we interact with through the story. The leader of Maldraxxus was The Primus until his recent defeat, leaving an empty hole that needs to be filled.

We were allied with the House of the Chosen and Margrave Kraxus until his defeat and the new margraves defection to the jailor. Now it seems like Drakke, Vash’j, and Mograine lead the rebellion against the houses and eventually maybe crown a new Primus.

Draka is a blank slate. That can be a very bad thing or a very good thing, depending on the writing.

If she is simply “generic-Orc-likes-to-fight” the entire expansion, it was a bad choice - that role can be filled by characters that we’d actually like to see expanded upon further.

If she actually turns into a unique character that grows beyond generic Orc impulses and her one connection to an existing character, it was a good choice.

Too early to tell which path will be taken thus far.
