Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest - Item missing

Many years ago I completed the very lengthy legendary quest to obtain Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest.
Today in game, I saw another player in TWW transformed into the blue Tarecgosa dragon and it reminded me that I have that too, I used to transform into that dragon many times by using my macro
/equip Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest
/use Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest
But this time it didn’t work and I realised that I didn’t have the Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest staff in my bags, and I have NO IDEA where it now is.
So my question is… if I have lost this item somewhere (it was a long time ago), how do I get it back ??

If its to far back to be in the item restoration you’re probably have to put in a ticket and ask a gm for a restore.
If you did DF you might be able to do the quest on that character to get the staff form as a mount option without the staff in your bag, its the kalegos story in the graveyard.

Other then that maybe check void storage, i know i have lots of old legendaries i shoved in there and forgot about.

OMG, I have forgotten so much… How do I find “Void Storage” ?

BTW my account toon character here is showing me as my Druid alt.
I did complete the Dragonwrath on my Void Elf Mage.

In most major cities ask a guard for transmogrifier, void storage is usually right there in the same building.

Edit: There is one in Dornogal also, I just checked.

Theyre usually near the transmog vendor in major cities like stormwind or you wod garrison if you had the bank fully upgraded.

I think the quests only appear if you have Dragonwrath with you.

Okay, so I just checked my Void Storage and no, it’s not in there.

Pop open your bank and all your bag slots and then search (there’s a search bar on your backpack for it). It’ll light it up for you if it’s hiding somewhere.

For what it’s worth I don’t think you can even accidentally delete legendaries, so unless a weird bug happened if you had at it one point it’s got to be somewhere.

Then if its no where else a ticket would be your best option. The GM can check if youve completed the quest and maybe restore it if you did somehow delete it. If not theyvmight be able to use your character data to find where it got stored.

I’d ask in CS if there’s a way to get it restored if you had it on that character. Someone may be able to look into whether or not it’s somewhere in your bags or bank.

Check your achievements, see if the achievement for it is there.

See if you can do the Dragonflight questline for the “mount” version.

Since you have the achievement, you should put in a ticket to see if it could get located or restored.

Yeah I did put in a ticket, but I have to say that Blizz is somewhat lame when it comes to most tickets these days. They USED to be quite helpful but I don’t see that anymore. My ticket response came back to me asking in these forums.

op this may be dumb do you have any other staff users?
and i would recheck the void storage if there is anything there you may have over looked.
and recheck the bank just incase might over look something.

the overlooking items happens to most of us

Yeah their responses are useless the first go-around. Reopen the ticket so a human reads it.

Wow, I just checked my achievements and I got the Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest back in 2015.

Yup it’s been nearly 10 years. That achievement serves as proof though that you did indeed earn it

So there is a quest chain you can do, I believe you have to finish all of Azure Span in Dragonflight.

In the Azure Dragon area (by the dungeon entrance) is the quest chain, it sends you to a bunch of Dragon areas to do odds and ends. The story is pretty good.

Doing this quest unlocks the form as a “mount” but ONLY FOR THE CHARACTER THAT HAS THE WEAPON.

Thus meaning you dont need the weapon to transform

Yeah I did complete all that back in 2015 and used to transform into the mount many times. But for now the actual Dragonwrath staff is nowhere to be found even though it’s showing as completed in my achievements. I cannot transform into the mount without the staff being in my bags.

No no, the questline is from Dragonflight Expansion added during 10.1 patch

You no longer need to have the weapon on you to transform once you finish the questline.
You have to first finish the Azure Span area, Keeper of the Ossuary questline and talk to Kalecgos for more quests

OMG really?? I didn’t know this. I will head to Azure Span now. I really do hope to see some applicable quests there for me…
