They dont, loots been nerfed down to 5, there is no advantage to running 25man now. There is a disadvantage now with the legendary and recruiting for 25man has already been a struggle in cata vs wotlk or tbc. This is ultimately not a great change. 10man should not produce more staves than they will be able to use vs a 25man which still wont be able to make enough staves for their typical roster. My 10man has 3 casters and if we get extremely lucky we will have our disc priest and bear tank with one by the end of the phase, that’s ridiculous. My 25man if extremely lucky will still have 40% of our casters without a legendary. Seems pretty crazy to me if the point is to get everyone a staff, yet now the have nots will feel like perhaps there are greener pastures in a 10man. Sure it’s easy to say good riddance, but that doesnt make recruiting any easier.

I just went and checked from last night’s raid, we still got 6 items and 9 items, 25 man normal has always been 5 items/8 items

Where was that announced?

The 25m recruiting was tough enough before this change. Our 25m has 8-10 caster dps who regularly attend raid and I know we’re not unique in this. After this post, we’ve had discussions on how we can split our 25m into 10m to improve the acquisition of staves but that is not feasible without sitting people.

The number for 25m should be increased or make it a personal quest where drop rates have no impact.

GDKPs have long been the biggest guild killing problem in Classic.

With these changes you’ll still be able to buy gold from and raid with 24 Brazilians, so nothing changed for 25m players. I don’t see why “avid 25m players” are upset. They could just run multiple 10mans if 10m is “so exceptionally easy and loot heavy”.

Again, you’re just validating the point, breaking into 10 mans when you’re a 25 man guild is what kills guilds.

So when all the 25m players here were telling all the 10m players to suck it up, get good and run 25s it’s fine? But the second they change it to speed up 10m staff gain suddenly all the 25m players start losing their minds xD

Hilarious., You’re still getting the staff faster, you’re getting 3 more pieces of loot and more tier per boss. Deal with it.

Suck it up, get good, either keep running 25m or run some 10s.

Question is why guilds are running so many casters that this is an issue in the first place.

A 25 man has 18 DPS - how many casters do you think you should run…?

And it’s not a matter of “Getting good” it’s the fact that now running 10 mans is better then 25 mans, and almost forces guilds into having to do splits. Where you either have to recruit MORE people or drop 5. It’s basic math =/

4 or 5? Any spill over staves go to healer OS. Hunters are the superior ranged choice.

The charts are dominated by casters, and with legendary staff coming that will continue to remain true. Are you raiding in a different game…?

This was not needed STOP CATERING!!! 10man should take 2.5 times longer then 25man its that simple. These bad players continue to make the choice to raid in 10man instead of 25man why keep catering to them?

While you are handing out ledgendary staves so freely, can you just make the new H+ currency also be useable for fragments?

You know, since the staves will be achieved by everyone anyway at this drop rate, why not double down.

But make it take A LOT of the currency to get them.

Example is 80 for 1 of the first items needed, and then the cinders can be 15 per cinder.

You are already basically giving them away as it is so why not?

Ps if you introduce this it should be with DS launch, just to help people finish it.

If the daggers are like this next patch then my alt Rogue I leveled only to unlock boxes will get them. Thx for listening to the whiners and not using logic blizzard you’re the best.

Your 25m GDKP will survive

Probably not if people are bidding on items, and 10 mans are able to create about double the staves…

Or maybe casters won’t want to run 25 man, and melee will have a harder time getting into 10 man groups?

For perspective:

This means that per person:

  • 25 player, 4-6 Legendary Staves (0.16 to 0.24 staves per person)
  • 10 player, 3-4.5 Legendary Staves (0.3 to 0.45 staves per person)

It wouldn’t be the first time, but yes… that seems to be what this suggests.
