Dragonswrath Foci skip is not useful

[Cataclysm] Dragonwrath foci skip doesn't do anything

In my guild we had a mage complete the foci quest on 25 man and had another person complete the embers in a different run on 10 man at a later time. Today we tried to use the foci skip to do the quest for this other person on 10 man. The portal opens and we can do phase 1 and phase 2 of the foci portal room. Phase 3 doesn’t work because it seems that this phase requires the person on the quest to have the foci part completed to get turned into a tree to summon volcanus.

yeah, in a 25m we’re gonna have to do this quest each week and its gonna be really annoying to have to get the foci each time wiping to those 4 bosses so we can do the staff quest so they can start picking up the new items off the bosses
