Dragons of Note That Should Appear (Spoilers?)

Heyo all, I’ve been questing through Dragonflight and been having a neat time, yet my knowledge of obscure characters has bugged me that we’ve not seen certain draconic characters that should totally be around. Especially among the Blue Dragonflight. We see the Azuna crew around, but what the other significant blues? Tyrygosa, a strong ally of the Netherwing, Kirygosa, daughter of Malygos, what of Awbee and Haleh, who is the LAST surviving consort of Malygos? Even Linigosa, who helped during the Paladin Questline in Legion. Plenty of them should least be SEEN hanging around. There other dragons of significance that should least show up to the reclaimed dragon homeland?

As much as I loved the cutscene with Senegos and the Azsuna dragons I think it would have been even cooler if he had been accompanied by more notable blue dragons instead of them making up a couple to round out Emmigosa and Stellagosa. Like have Azuregos, Kirygosa, and Tyrygosa be in that cutscene too.

Like it’s cool in the moment but on reflection the message of “the blue dragons are scattered but we must come together and be a family again” falls a bit flat when only one group responds.

Come to say the same, I was dissapointed not seeing Azuregos and Tyrygosa.
We also got that side quest from the dragonspawn poet, that ends with “Remember us” I was dissapointed of not seeing other dragonkin members coming to aid Kalecgos.

I think they missed an opportunity to have an epic moment. With Senegos, Azuregos and other blue dragons coming and suddenly portals opening with Drakonid and Dragonspawn pouring through for the ultimate Avengers: Endgame and LOTR Charge of the Rohirrim mashup.

I suppose the reason we didn’t see other dragons is because most folk probably remember those from Legion. Cata WAS awhile ago, so I suppose not everyone is aware the greater blue dragonflight cast. It is nice seeing old grandpa azure dragon tho

TBH, I hardly recognized any of the dragons in that cut scene and even after when they’re all there minus Senegos. Hell, hardly any of us remember Sabellian but look how excited the entire player base was when he just came back from, possibly, the greatest amount of obscurity a character can have - a relatively small time quest giver in a barely played zone in Outland, even with Classic BC just wrapped up.

So to say you’re right, this was a missed opportunity to have a lot more show up - unless of course that is going to be the Blue Dragonflight’s mission/quests going forward.

They may know what Kalecgos is up to, but may not believe in the mission itself. Kalecgos didn’t really do anything to warrant anyone showing up. Recall his own accession to Aspect was not without controversy and Azuregos was also slated to be put forward, someone who had an opposite idea of what the Blue Dragonlfight should do - become more isolated away from worldy/mortal manners. Kalec then goes on and becomes a council member of a mortal mage society, gets it on with a human many thousands of years younger than him, and pops in once in a while without a lot of back up. Where was his service to his flight been that entire time? His self-doubt and borderline self-loathing, as we see him on a more personal level, wouldnt exactly inspire confidence in me if I was a blue dragon either. In all, to a dragon, he hasnt really done much in the past 10 years.

I was surprised that Anachronos, Nozdormu’s heir, wasn’t involved in the time shenanigans quest chain when both of his parents were. Meanwhile I honestly expected Serinar to be with Sabellian when he reappeared in the story.

For those who don’t remember, Serinar was the dragon we worked with at the Obsidian Dragonshrine against the Scourge. He also wasn’t among the black dragons that Wrathion had assassinated. His status isn’t currently unknown since he may have died off screen or been one of the few dragons to hide his presence from Wrathion.

To be honest apart of me wonders if he will appear in the future, either seizing control of the World Breakers and being the black dragon who wants to be Deathwing’s legacy over Neltharion’s or being the one to guide the World Breakers away from their current path and back to the rest of the flight.

You made a good point and I hope you are right regarding future quests that may allow the Blue dragonflight become more united.

Serinar and Nalice from Dragonblight (Obsidian Dragonshrine) have yet to make an appearance, unless I’m mistaken.

I will say though I was impressed and have to give credit to Blizzard for bringing back as many notable dragons as they did. Quite a few times I stopped and went “oh, I remember them!” Most notably with Sabellian.

Bit hard for Nalice since she died in Cata. She is the second major target for Rogues during their legendary dagger chain. The others being Lord Creed, Deathwing and ultimately Fahrad.

I’m still waiting for Goriona to appear again. Like seriously, what is the point of her flying away, leaving Blackhorn to die if Blizzard is never going to reuse her again. Was hoping she would appear in patch 8.3 as a potential ally.

For the greens, I was expecting to see Iltharius and Valithria Dreamwalker, who are usually present.
I hope to see Eranikus at somepoint when Ysera is back.

And like the others said, the absence of Kirygosa and Azuregos for the blue dragons was a big letdown. The last time Kalec had a conversation about the blue dragons lacking purpose was with Kirygosa at the Nexus.

Krasus. 100% Krasus. And I don’t mean physically. For as devoted as he was to Alex, and she to him, I would love something, anything, named after him. Even like Dalaran have a flight point, just something that mentions the poor guy.

Literally all Netherwing dragons. If Sabellian can can goof off in Outland, ignoring his Titan-given duties to Azeroth, and then show up out of nowhere to arrogantly demand an undeserved throne instead of giving it to the last black dragon who actually tried to obey the Titan’s mandate… then so can the Netherwing.

Nalice was killed in Cataclysm as part of the Wrathion rogue legendary. I hope we see Chromatic/Netherwing/Void/Twilight Dragonflights. More Black dragon survivors.

This one is not a dragon, but the fact that Cenarius is nowhere to be seen (again) is absolutely criminal.

He is the adoptive son of Ysera and should have been present alongside Merithra. Also his student Malfurion just gave himself up to the realm of death. But once again, he is unexplainedly absent even though other druids including 2 from Val’sharah are present.
