I completely forgot that they changed that this patch and mindlessly clicked on the one dragon I use for Riding in valdrakken and was blitzed when I realized “that’s not the mount I thought I clicked on” and was dragon riding instead in Stormwind. Definitely an awesome change up.

I’m missing something: are the old mounts not able to do this yet?

Non-dragonriding mounts will be able to dynamically fly in War Within.

I think this patch is for existing dragon riding mounts and the intention is for more (not all) mounts to be updated by next expansion

So is there qualifying criteria for dynamic flying on my dragon riding mount in the old world? I logged on, hopped on my dragon riding mount and I’m static flying. What is the problem?

Being level 30, I believe? Maybe having to have gone to dragon isles

I’m level 59 and have been to the dragon isles and have used dragon flying there.

I like dragon riding more in the old world then in the dragon isles.

I hope us druids in the war within get dragon riding with our flight forms turn it on when we want to use it and off when we don’t lol.

In their post-Blizzcon Q&A, they said yes. The video should still be on YouTube.

I agree it was the first thing I played with. I did a flight route of sw - elwynn - westfall - stranglethorn (all of it) - swamp of sorrows - red ridge - back to sw

I didn’t time it but it took just a few minutes for the whole route and I was playing around not going for efficiency.

If your character is below lvl 60, you can static fly on ALL dragonriding mounts.

the problem is that once you hit 60 and get offical dragonriding, you lose the ability to static fly with that char. People wanted both, which IS in the game files, but wont be unlocked until the next expansion.

Use a non dragonriding mount then?
